Spring 2013 – Caterham Racing Series

Overview:

7 Week Race Series
Thursdays 20:00 EST
March 21th – May 2nd

Vehicle Regulations:

2002 Caterham Seven Fireblade
Tuning prohibited
Sport Hard tires
Allowed: Oil Change, Engine Rebuild, Chassis Restoration, and Paint

Format:

There will be one Race every Thursday that will last approximately 45 minutes.

Each event will be set up in a practice, qualifying, race scenario.

Practice will begin at 20:00 EST and will last for 45 minutes.

Track will be reset and qualifying will being and last for 15 minutes. Qualifying includes 1 lap to warm up, 1 hot lap, and 1 cool down lap into the pits.

Race will have a “Fastest First” orientation.

Depending on the size of the track the first lap will either be a rolling start or grid start.

Races with a rolling start will begin in a gridded formation. At the start of the race please get up to a speed limit of 70mph. Maintain this speed and keep you position until your car passes the start line at the start of lap 2. At this point racing will begin.

At least one pit stop will be required per race.

-4th place - 39 points

-9th place - 24 points
10th place - 21 points
11th place - 18 points
12th place - 15 points
13th place - 12 points
14th place - -9 points
15th place - -6 points
16th place - -3 points

Bonus Points: 2 Points can be obtained for Pole Position resulting in a maximum score of 50 points

Prizes for the top three positions at the end of the season include a fully prepped vehicle for the Summer Racing Series. Additional Prizes may be added later.
