Not a lot of Football on this summer, but there is the Copa America and this, the 20th staging of the European Under-21 Championship, here are the groups with the eight teams taking part..

Group A

Czech Republic
Denmark
Germany
Serbia

Group B

England
Italy
Sweden
Portugal

Format is very simple with the top two teams from both groups making the semi finals and two from that make the final, added incentive this year is the top three in each group qualify for the summer tournament at the Rio Olympics in 2016.

Czech Republic are the hosts, the opening game is the Czech's against Denmark on Wednesday with England starting their campaign on Thursday against Portugal, the final is on the 30th June. Coverage in the UK is on BT Sport...

England play their first game tonight against Portugal, they have John Stones out for the first two games with concussion and Saido Berahino has been ruled out for the tournament and Benik Afobe has been called up to replace him..

...last nights opening games saw hosts the Czech Republic lost 1-2 to Denmark and Germany and Serbia draw 1-1.

Wasn't good by England last night, lost 1-0 to Portugal and now need to beat Sweden who themselves beat Italy 2-1 despite being down to 10 men..

European under 21? I didn't even realise it was on a the moment. Will have to keep an eye on this thread.

Well England have played two group games, lost to Portugal in the first 1-0 and then beat Sweden on Sunday 1-0 with Man United's Jesse Lingard getting the goal, England haven't played well so far and have one more group game to come against Italy tomorrow.

England win and they are through, a draw and it sort of depends on the result of the Sweden Portugal game, lose and their out , both games are on at the same time tonight at 7.45pm.

Bottom of the group. Feels like home. Was getting nauseous looking at us all the way up there in 3rd.

Was abysmal by England with their worst performance of the tournament which is saying something as they have been poor throughout, questions have to be askes to whether their more established players should've been picked, the likes of Wilshire, Ox-Chamberlain, Sterling, Jones, Barkely and Wickham are just a few who were eligible to play but apparently Southgate was told not to pick them.

Semi finals are Portugal v Germany and Denmark v Sweden, take place on Saturday with the final on Tuesday.

Portugal hammered the tournament favourites Germany 5-0 and Sweden beat Denmark 4-1 to make the final which is tomorrow night...
