For those unaware of what VRR is, Virtual Reality Racing is an organization keen on providing the best possible racing to those that wish to do it. We specialize in multi class racing, having previous seasons in Super GT. Now we move to the essense of multi class racing, the Le Mans Series. The inaugural ILMS season will go through 4 races from all around the world, and will be contested among LMP1, LMP2, and GTE classes on the same track at the same time. VRR Racing Licences determine who can race in the faster classes. The regulations in the buttons below will help you understand what VRR expects in race conditions and what you can expect from the VRR officials during and after each race.

1) Practice is expected to be held at a driver's own convenience. Anyone can open up lobbies through the week for community practice in the VRR GT6 club. If I am available, I will have a room open on the Wednesday before a race.
2) On Friday, a open qualifying session will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Eastern time. All drivers are required to set a flying lap in this session to be permitted to race in the event.
3) On Saturday, the race lobby will open at 1:30 p.m. Eastern time. All drivers racing are expected to be on at that time to be able to enter the room. Once all drivers are in the room, the mandatory driver's meeting will take place, followed by the start of the race event.
1) The race lobby will open at 1:30 p.m. Eastern time. All drivers participating in the event are expected to be online and in the game at this time.
2) One at a time, starting with the LMP2 Class, drivers will be sent a message to enter the race room. This order will be based on qualifying results.
3) If drivers get online after the 1:30 timeline, they will be invited after everyone else, in the order of class and starting position.
1) LMP2 is the faster class in the series. They will encounter the most slower traffic. LMGTE Class cars are expected to hold their line on the track during an overtake attempt by an LMP2 car.
2) If a battle between two LMGTE cars is going on, those cars do not have to immediately yield to the LMP2 car behind them. If the LMP2 car attempts to overtake, it is up to the LMP2 to make sure the overtake is safe. (In this instance, the term "battle" refers to two cars on the same lap able to make an attempt to overtake each other. LMGTE cars in "pursuit" in which a gap over a second in length exists must yield to the LMP2 car.)
3) LMGTE cars being overtaken by the LMGTE leader do not have to yield in position due to the possibility of a full course race neutralization. Any incidents that occur from this type of racing can resort in the slower LMGTE car being penalized if deemed necessary and avoidable.
4) LMGTE cars at no point are expected to attempt a pass on a capable LMP2 car. Attempts at doing this can be dangerous and can be expected to be penalized. LMGTE passing LMP2 is only acceptable if the LMP2 car is damage stricken or in some way off the racing surface.
1) Before the race is launched, all drivers must go through a reg check to make sure their cars are legal by the series standards. In depth inspection, such as examining to check for flat floors or to check the rear wing will happen post race in replay.
2) The race timer will be started when all of the regs are in line.
3) At the very beginning, all cars must hold the brake or the e-brake on the grid. It is preferred that everyone also hits the pause button to ghost. The race director will list off the drivers based on starting position, with the LMP2 pole sitter expected to hold a 62 mph/100 kph speed for the formation lap.
4) All cars are to remain single file and give the car in front at least three car lengths of space to allow safe tire warming. Acceptable tire warming is weaving at a safe and slowed pace from side to side. Locking up the brakes and skidding are illegal and will result in being moved to the rear of the entire grid.
5) After the final corner, unless dictated otherwise by the race director, the field must double file, with the odd number cars on the inside in relation to the inside of turn 1. LMGTE cars cannot share a row with a LMP2 car. For example, if there are 5 LMP2 cars and 9 LMGTE cars, Rows 1-3 will be reserved for LMP2, while LMGTE will start with row 4.
6) The race begins when each driver sees the car in front of them launch. Jumping the start is illegal and can be penalized 60 seconds.
1) In the case of severe internet issues or rapidly deteriorating weather, a full course race neutralization may occur.
2) If weather begins to get worse quickly, as in track water increasing by 5-10% or more per lap, a race neutralization can be called. When called, all cars are expected to pit for the appropriate tires as soon as possible.
3) In the instance of a mass disconnection (3 competitors disconnecting from the race lobby within a 5 minute timeframe from first to third), the race will be neutralized and the overall leader will collect the field behind him in a single file queue.
4) In the instance of confirmed lag causing an accident between 3 or more cars, full race neutralization will be called.
5) Race Neutralization begins when the race official types out SCD followed by reasoning. For example, for weather, the call out will be "SCD rain". For mass disconnection, the call out will be "SCD mass D/C". For a lag induced accident, "SCD lag". SCD stands for Safety Car Deployed, in the series represented by the leader slowing down to 62 mph/100 kph and the field lining up single file.
6) Once the race neutralization has been announced, drivers are expected to race to the nearest timing marker (also known as a sector loop), before obeying the call. After reaching the nearest sector loop, passing in general is prohibited. Starting with the race leader, the field is expected to pit as soon as they can before catching up to the queue.
7) Once the entire field is gathered in the queue. The overall leader should be leading the queue. Every LMGTE car between the LMP2 leader and the LMGTE leader is to pass the LMP2 leader and reassemble at the end of the queue. After this has occured, LMP2 cars behind the LMGTE leader must move ahead of the LMGTE leader and lineup behind the LMP2 leader. Once the field is organized, the field may go green at the designated restart point.
8) In the instance of mass disconnection, if all affected drivers return to the lobby within the race neutralization, the field will order up as rules 5-7 indicate then stop under red flag conditions on the track's longest straight. The race official will record the stoppage time, the race standings, then the field will back out of the race. The race official will start a new event with time on the clock even with when the field came to a stop and restart from that point in the order the field was in followed by the disconnected drivers.
All assists are banned at all times except for the Informative Driving Line, which can be used in practice only.
1) Crossing pit entry or exit lines--10 second post race time penalty for each offense
2) Causing an avoidable collision with fellow class driver--30 second post race time penalty for first offense, 60 second post race time penalty for second offense, pit lane start penalty for next applicable event for third offense.
3) Causing an avoidable collision with competitor from different class--1 lap post race penalty
4) Equipping illegal parts (tires, flat floors, illegal wings)--Disqualification from race.
5) Failing to complete 70% race distance to the class leader--Exclusion from race results.
6) Causing an avoidable collision under race neutralization--30 second post race time penalty.
7) Passing under race neutralization (excluding cars in limp home modeor off track cars)--30 second post race time penalty.
8) Disrespecting event officials or other drivers--Pit lane start at next applicable event or suspension.
9) Missing mandatory driver's meeting--Prohibited from starting the event.
10) Missing qualifying--Prohibited from starting the event.
11) Using illegal glitches and/or mods to improve car performance--Permanent ban from VRR.
12) Using wrong number plate--Exclusion from race results.
13) Getting reset in pit lane--20 second post race time penalty.
14) Jumping a start or restart--20 second post race time penalty.

Im very interested in this
Same. To be honest I think it'd be better with just the P2 and GTE classes though. When you start getting upwards of three the amount of cars in each will suffer and it'll only be a race against 2-3 people pending attendance. But hey it has potential nonetheless. :D

The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to try it as three classes.

Just saying that two would offer more competition among each class in my opinion, that's all. :)

Hopefully this shapes up to be nice. Even if you don't get very many signups the long races will still be fun.

Yeah, the way I have it planned is 4 LMP1 cars, one for each manufacturer, 4 LMP2, and 8 LMGTE.

Hey it could have been my failed Forza WEC series with 4 classes: P1, P2, PC, and GTE. Don't ask about how the races would have worked :dunce:

Car lists have been updated with the beginning portions of the rules beginning to be sorted and uploaded to the OP. Preliminary car selections are now allowed to be made. LMP1 cars are reserved for those with experience with them in the GTPES, CORE WEC, and/or have a platinum or gold licence in VRR. LMP2 cars are for drivers that are gold or silver licenced. LMGTE is for everyone.

With only 1 of each P1 car, and considering I'm a platinum driver in VRR, there's no chance I'd be able to team up with someone?

Explain?

A teammate and I wouldn't be able to drive the same car in the P1 class, only in P2 and GTE. Correct?
That is somewhat correct for the time being. If all four P1 cars are filled, then a second teammate would be allowed. P2 doesn't have a team structure since it's the same car and the same setup.
