So why would it be anymore unreliable if it were made in Egypt?
How am I supposed to know how unreliable Egyptian Golf R would be? Is there large amount of Volkswagens made in Egypt? What I do know is that Mexican Volkswagens have reputation as an unreliable cars and if their quality won't get better the R will be unreliable too. I also know that the R will get attention among motoring people, which means that its reliability will get more attention too.

Fair enough I suppose... I don't understand why not let a left hand drive car not come to America during production..

Which ones do they make in Tennessee?

Jetta I think (I think Nissan makes the Leaf there too)

I believe it is just the American Passat and the forthcoming crossover thing. Quality scores seem to be up on Passat compared to previous models, but, it still doesn't score as high as many of its competitors from Japan, and yes, even the US.

Still, it won't stop the public from remembering the dismal performance of the MKIV Jetta/Golf and B5 Passat.

Same thing happened with Australian Golfs made in South Africa, the build quality went down so they stopped South African Production and we got all our Golfs from Germany.
