Nah...We've got EST, CST, MT covered...only timezone left is PST.

I give you: GP De Sausalito :)

Pretty much my dream circuit.

I agree with @Keef on the LVGP...its going to be a massive hit. I'm absolutely going and I've never been tempted by various other USGP offerings.
No one cares about texas!

NYC MIA and LV perfect trio

The view is gonna be amazing, but the racing is pretty much just gonna be tactical DRS passing and repassing. It's basically old Hockenheim transplanted in the middle of a city

I must say it's a bit weird for the S/F straight to be tucked away in that top right corner though. The pit buildings obviously have to be there because there's no space anywhere else, but make the standing start in the middle of the strip where you can see everything.

I wonder also how bad the glare/strobing from all the casino and neon lights will be for the drivers. From the renders it looks like they will install extra floodlights so that might just drown out the surroundings enough to provide constant illumination.

Edit: Another important point is that this will be a night race in the US Pacific time zone, UTC-8 in November. According to a video on F1.com the race will start at 10pm, that means it'll be on at 6am in the UK. Oh, how the turntables.

Btw, the main straight at Vegas is about 2km long. To put that into perspective, that's about half a kilometer longer than the front straight at Monza including Parabolica, a half kilometer longer than Fuji's main straight, and nearly the same length as the first section of the Mulsanne from tertre rouge to the first chicane.
It's gonna be weird for us Aussies to finally watch a race in the Americas at a reasonable time

Baku's "straight" if you include all the kinks from turn 16 is 2.2 km. If we include historic tracks, Nurb's Dottinger is 2.8 km. The king of all straights is probably between Pescara or AVUS.

Don't even get me started on the Americas Cup, or the World Series. And as for Mr. Universe...

Also, every other international airport.

Nobody says to a stranger, "I live in Suburbandale, in New Westarkentuckykota!" or "I have a home in Villagebroughshireham."

They mention the biggest nearby congested city with crummy traffic that Bobby and Jane Six-Pack can recognize because it has a big recognizable landmark. If the Sixers (they're cool with that) are near or from in the area, then you zero in on where you really live to prove you didn't just make it up. "Really? I live in the Covington Swells subdivision of the Bel-Coral Pines neighborhood in Wookiesburg. I went to Brabhamton School back in Sileighty-Two, next to the old golf ball factory. You must know the Fives, right?"

Admit it, you're just pissed off that the old Inner Loop would have made a killer speedbowl of a circuit.

Glad to know that this is an international phenomenon. Being from a country town 300km from the city my conversations often go exactly like that.

This race has me pretty excited. I honestly thought it was an April fools joke so didn’t look into it too far, but now I know it’s real I’ll be keen to see it. Vegas is a very cool city, fond memories from my trip there. No question that F1 cars are gonna look awesome at speed, under lights, with fountains and volcanoes going off in the background :)

Not to be overly pedantic, but the 'America's Cup' is called that because the first New York based schooner which won that trophy (originally called the Hundred Guinea Cup or something - racing around the Isle of Wight) was 'The America'...and that's when it changed names. The name just happened to stick.

The trophy was later offered up by the yacht club as a perpetual trophy to be won and defended, etc. Admittedly American yachting teams went on to defend it like 25 times over the next 100 years, so the name is even more apt. I think the New Zealanders or Australians have it currently.
