Can't imagine they would bring back the A class hatchbacks, A class saloon or C class maybe?
A-class saloon or CLA perhaps. CLA being the slightly sleeker A-class sized coupe/saloon may be the way to go IMO if they all feel the Hyundai has an aero advantage.

RML-prepped Mercs with Rowbo and potentially Jake Hill. That would be a very interesting addition to the grid.
Ok, not Jake Hill :(

Big loss for the championship and especially for WSR/BMW.
Sounds like he's going GT racing. Sutton will follow at some point.

The Autosport article about JP Motorsport was linking Hill's sponsors to the new team as much as Jake himself. That press release says the sponsors are committed to BTCC but doesn't mention WSR or BMW. Maybe still something there. Plato did say he would be upsetting people in the paddock.

Not sure if it’ll be front or rear wheel drive. Happy they’re switching from a hatchback, it’s turning into an old school saloon car championship again.

EDIT - more knowledgeable folk than me say it’ll have to be a FWD.

Very blustery and a bit of light rain at Brands. Hoping that Jake can stick it on pole for his farewell.

Ingram through to the top 12 from the first group. Sutton through from group 2.

Ingram and Sutton miss out on the top 6. Ingram 7th, Sutton 11th.

Fantastic drive and best way for Tingram to win the title in race 2 with the win and fastest lap. His driving has been on another level this year, and Vertu have built an absolute weapon of a car in that Hyundai.

Now though, one last race of the year and the gloves will be off for this one 🔥.

The NAPA/Alliance boys should've kept the gloves on. Cost them the constructors title. The chat about Rowbottom leaving will be getting a bit louder after that.

ADD - NAPA weekend review omitted any mention of Rowbo. He’s unfollowed them all on social media. He’s gone.

The BMW squad may be losing another driver - DeLeon could be getting a Porsche Junior spot and heading to another series. Dick Bennetts already trying to figure out the finances to get Turkington back. At least Rainsford looks like a decent bet for the years ahead, very good rookie season.

Mark Blundell hinting on comms that Josh Cook has a seat secured for next year. Don't think there's much chance of One returning so staying at Speedworks, joining his mate Sutton at Alliance or heading the new JP outfit?

Also, it was great to see Nic Hamilton in the midst of the action in race 3.

Autosport hinting in their report today that Alliance will have their new BTCC car next year. There was some recent talk that it was delayed to 2027.

Would be great to have 3 new/returning manufacturers all at once - Audi and maybe Merc and Mazda.

Im still sour about the Mazda TCR program, but a BTCC Mazda3 sedan would be sweet. Bringing back memories of the Xedos. I did like the Astina/323F as well.

CLA looks pretty good as a race car
