Or more because of how memory is counted by manufactures versus computers...

There is no 20gb iPod touch, it is always powers of two for sizing on those devices - 8, 16, 32, 64gb.

I still find this thread kind of pointless because everything in it could have been answered in about 5 minutes of Google'ing.

That is true.
 
I find it hilarious that the theoretical 20GB iPod won't fit all 22GB of your music so it is, in fact, useless and cannot be used for music at all whatsoever.

Well, OSes tell us the actual useable size of the memory you have, using the binary system, which means 1kbyte=1024bytes, 1mbyte=1024kbytes,etc.

MAnufacturers use the decimal system (1kbyte=1000bytes) since it gives a higher number.

That was my point. I understand binary counting quite well seeing how I am studying computer science...

My 6GB iPod Mini says hi.

Mini != touch. The HDD based iPods follow their own rules for sizing, and the Mini used microdrives so yeah.
