$220/£140 for a Fanatec CSR. good deal?

i was on a local classifieds website the other day, and decided to put an ad out looking for a Fanatec CSR. low and behold, someone responded.

he wanted to sell me a CSR, clubsport pedals, 2 tuning kits, and a Rennsport v2 stand, all for $550. a fair price.

however, i just built my own cockpit so i dont need the stand, and I have a G27 now with pedals hardmounted. so i was going to keep my pedals as my Nixim mod is still in the mail.

he wanted $450 for the wheel, pedals and tuning kits. but as i didnt really want the pedals...

so, his offer was $220 CAD for just the wheel.

as for the questions:

-should i be sketching that the wheel could be broken? (what with their reputation)
-should i suck it up and get the CS pedals?
-are the CS pedals better than G27 pedals with tbe Nixim v2 mod?
-is there any chance that fanatec offers lfetime warranty on their products, even if im not the original owner? (not holding my breath for that one lol)


my ps3 just stopped reading discs, so im trying to be frugal so i can keep some money saved for a new one. already have an xbox i can commandeer for a little while so i hope forza can keep my occupied while im missing out on the NORDSCHLEIFE RACE gosh darn it.

your wisdom as to what i should do would be appreciated!

I would definitely not get a used CSR wheel for $220 when it is only $199.95 brand new on the Fanatec webshop with 2 year warranty. If that is a CSR Elite, then it is a great price.

thanks! you make a good point and this is what i will do. I will need to ship it to a p.o. box in the states though, to avoid the taxes of importing it into the country. (probably like $60).

There's a registered FAnatec dealer in Canada, but they sell the wheel for $299.99
