They got rid of the glitch in about 1.06 I think, but the only thing such a big savefile will affect is the ability to do the permanent borrow glitch, which you don't need to do anyway.

Really? I heard people still getting the glitch even in May? And also your referring to the glitch that was found on 12/02/11 right? 'Cos I thought you can't play the game ONE bit after the glitch occurred? Thanks for quick reply; need more for accuracy mate :)

Well I never knew for sure people still got it but PD definitely even said they fixed it. And you can necessarily play the game if you do experience the bug somehow, just not with the save data that somehow gets oversized. But it has been fixed definitely by PD.

Lol, so basically I have to start again with a new save, what I SO do not want to do 'cos of all my effort (I have over 2200 GT5 days playtime). :nervous::nervous::nervous:

Uh...no you don't. You can keep playing, you won't get the glitch unless you haven't done the updates.

So, what say if I wait till Spec 2.0 next Tuesday then update it then play, quit the game, put save file on my USB, put a second copy on computer, then I should be fine. I have a back-up if something goes wrong course. However, nothing will happen right? I've had the game since it came out by the way.

So you mean a save file made after 1.06 cannot be affected? DAMN, cos I made mine way back in November '10 of course. So I'm not fine?

Sorry mate, just re-iterate it?

Nothing will happen to the saves after Spec 2.

The time you made your save does not affect the glitch in any way, the patch fixed the glitch no matter when you made your save.

In short, you won't have to worry about it. However, do keep making back-ups, because trust me, you never know when your save may just corrupt randomly. I've been lucky enough to have a fully working PS3 and save since Nov 24...

It got fixed in 1.06 dude. Try going back to 1.00, save the game there, bring back to 1.13.

You should maybe delete your save yourself and step away from the game for awhile... There is no reason to be that worked up over a glitch that if you searched hard enough, you would've seen it was patched. I mean if you've backed up why would you worry? If a glitch does happen, bring your back-up out and then search to see what the new issue is. Though nothing has happened to you has it? Don't worry about it. Chill. Really..
