Steward's Comments:

I've added a minute to the submitted times for GTP_Speedy6543 and GTP_LeftyWright, as I believe that was an innocent error in both cases.

Cheers,

OLR Team.

Important notices:
To streamline the WRS administration process, all required replays for this race must be submitted within 7 days. This thread will be listed as "Provisional" and will become "Official" once all posted replays have been verified. After 7 days, all drivers who fail to provide a requested replay will have their lap disqualified. (Beware: disqualification isn't taken lightly within the WRS.)
Drivers who do not have a submitted lap posted in the results are not to post any information related to a laptime they might have achieved in the results thread. Any such posts will have the times removed.

Replay Verification Requests:
This week we would like to see replays for all indicated results. All replays are to be posted here.

Instructions on how to upload your replay can be found here - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=3180607&postcount=2

Replay Checking:

  1. It is customary for all participants of the WRS to verify each others submitted replays
  2. Once you have checked the replay, post in this thread to say that you have checked it and whether it's clean, dirty or doesn't meet the required race specifications
  3. When verifying a replay, check against this weeks race specification, check that the tyres are the correct compound and that the power and weight is correct for example
  4. If you are unsure about a replay, always seek a second opinion before posting

Lol, I knew it, I knew Tim and Speedy were gonna pass me, didn't see Marc pulling that off. Congratulations guys, such a difficult track to out a lap together so props. Quite an entrance to D2.👍 I left a lot on the track but I'm sure everyone can say the same.
Congratulations to all finishers and podium winners. Thumbs up to Lucas, that may be your ticket to D2. Congrats to Rutter on the overall victory.

I second that /\
Man oh man, what a fight that was. I'm still sweating

Congrats guys!!!

Too bad I had to throw away that .930 lap :banghead:

Here's my PAL replay

Definitely all of us left some on the track. Watch my replay of Blanchimont and you'll see I did. But it will make a good highlight somewhere.

Marc and I ran a 30 lap race on Spa yesterday and it yielded great carry over result for WRS. My first lap today for WRS and I was instantly faster. I ran out of time otherwise I had a 2'10.9 in sight.

Congratz...

  • To Marc on an amazing debut in D2. Can't do any better than that and you also top the handicap board overall too.
  • To Gravitron for a completely dominant win in D3. Nearly a second back to 2nd place... that's just nuts.
  • To Blair with another Gold and D3 handicap.
  • To Rutter who is serious alien-like material. Can't wait to see a replay of that lap.

I'm worse, I threw away a .833 at Blanchimont. That's the story of the week for all of us.

Ok, you win in having to throw away a dirty lap. :)
So frustrating...

I'm worse, I threw away a .833 at Blanchimont. That's the story of the week for all of us.

Well now on Wednesday we can find out who is the most consistent and error-free around this place. It's a nice way to get back at those drivers who nip you at the line. (That's you Marc!)

Wow - outstanding results guys. Marc and Tim have certainly made their presence felt in D2. Nice win for Lucas in D3 as well. Despite my best efforts I only got Spa installed 14 hours ago - spent 30 minutes having a good crack at it, but only got one clean lap and it really wasn't representative of what I would like to have run.

Great work all round 👍

Wow, guys.... what an entrance to D2. Fantastic job and a great advert for 3D3 👍 Marc, Christophe, Tim, Scott - awesome... and Lucas on the march there as well  Unlucky Joao mate - a tough week to be sure. These 3D3 guys have been getting plenty of online practice and with the 'loose' physics, running offline feels much more stable and alot faster. You should join us for the race. :)

Ramon - mental time. 👍 And on that basis, Rutter you should be in an asylum lad. 👍

Congrats on the podium Jonas - it was you I was chasing this week rather than those 2 nutters but I could only catch you on dirty laps. Good job mate. 👍

I'll post my video up later for anyone who wants a look but its a country mile off Rutter.

What happened to everyone who wanted to run Spa though? The poll suggested more interest than this and I have to say a poor showing from D1.

Thanks guys, and Congratz to all podium winners
I really thought a place in a Speedy Vid was a few (a lot of) weeks away :)
I'm even happier that Speedy and Tim are in this one, great runs, and great week guys.

Pretty sure I posted in another thread that Lucas was the unlucky D2 omission due to a Registry Handicap Calculation glitch. :sly:
Looks like I was right 👍
Way to prove 'em wrong Lucas, and Congratz on your 2nd win in a row :D
1'11.148 last week, 2'11.361 this week - both for 11th place [edit] - do you have some special feelings for the number 11?

Blair keeps on Winning too... Nice!

And what's a week without some serious Div1 Times?
Dam you guys are fast, esp Rutter, and eclipsi 2'09's???

Special Congratz to Rutter for winning the first ever Spa event 👍

These 3D3 guys have been getting plenty of online practice and with the 'loose' physics, running offline feels much more stable and alot faster.
Honestly, the real lessons from 3D3 come after the races, when I watch the replays and figure out corner entry / exit techniques from you D1 guys.
WRS vids help tremendously as well. 👍
As Tim heard me say many, many times online at Spa, after seeing your WRS Fiat vid last week: "I'm going with the Vagabond corner technique" ;)

Here's my replay, submitted so late my (only) splits never made it to fetchy:

Congrats on your second place in D2 at your home WRS. 👍

My replay video for anyone who may be interested. Not great but a tricky week to get a clean lap...

Shame I couldn't take part in this, its my favourite track, but I'm taking a break from my PS3 to concentrate on other stuff.

Congratulations to all the podium winners!

Marc and Tim... amazing job 👍. Don't leave for D1 without me

Nice lap Marc, your D2 gold is now official. Clean lap, specs and time match.

You didn't come close to dirty anywhere so wondering how this was so fast. You did nail the exit to the final chicane where I definitely lost a lot of time. It would be great to see the videos side by side and see where we were relative to eachother going into the chicane.

My replay is attached.

I've added a minute to the submitted times on the leaderboard results page as well 👍

Congrats Rutter and Ramon for burning this track up. 👍

Big pat on the back for my brothers Tim and Marc, way to barge into D2 , allowing D3 a 90%-ish Belgium podium, glad to share it with you Pluscat and Kristof! 👍

Nice job, Speedy, on the D2 podium as well. 👍
Scott, thanks for pushing me in the leapfrog game. 👍
Thanks Chris for the tweaks to the setup.

Thanks for all the mentions, guys, I won't forget this one for a LOOOONG time. :)

Turns out I forgot to post my final best lap! Oh well, here is the replay of the lap that I did remember to post. Had alot of fun with this weeks combo.

I've added a minute to the submitted times for GTP_Speedy6543 and GTP_LeftyWright, as I believe that was an innocent error in both cases.

I've added a minute to the submitted times on the leaderboard results page as well 👍

Thanks and sorry for the typo. :dunce:

Congrats to Rutter200 and to all podium winners and finishers. 👍

I'll upload my replay tomorrow.

Yay 3rd! Wasn't expecting that at the start of the week. Great times Rutter and eclipse. The new div2 drivers jumping straight to the top was quite impressive. 👍

This week was unusual for me. My normal procedure is to start quite a bit behind, drive a thousand km (or two) and eventually get so used to the combo that I can get really close to my best-sectors lap. This time however I got some pretty good laps right away (11.2 first session, 10.7 2nd) and then in my third go I got a "lucky" lap right at the end which is the one I submitted. I think I only had about 500km on the car at this point, including 200km of Bob driving around Indy. :)

I did try a few more times but didn't really get close, although I managed to do better T1s thanks to Rutter's advice and also shaved a tenth off T3 on a semi-regular basis. I was just never able to tie them together with a good T2 so I figured I'd sit back and see if Chris would catch me. :sly: It would've been nice to break 2'10 but I had a suspicion that it still would not be enough to climb any higher... ;)

PAL replay attached

Great lap! Really close at Eau Rouge but then close usually means fast ;). I particularly liked the little slide in turn 1. I caught on to that trick my last session but I never thought to use the HB, I just threw the car aggressively into the corner with some rear brake bias and managed to get down to .150 as my best sector. Also impressed by the speed you were able to carry into T3. 👍

Thanks for the check, Marc. 👍 Congrats again on the win, first time out in D2.
And thanks for letting me practice the GT500's with you and Tim on Spa. I watched that replay last night, and I was quite a troublemaker. :mischievous::lol:

Thanks for checking 👍 Yea it was real close at Eau Rouge. I was really crapping myself when I went to check the replay:lol: Wasn't happy with my T2 though on this lap, lost 0.2 so lap could of been 09.5 but everyone left time out there.

Gonna check some replays after I eat dinner.

Great lap, didn't get out of shape once. I noticed you didn't max out the revs before shifting. This cost you some time around the lap so for sure you could have been in 09s 👍

Really impressed with your Eau Rouge! Rest of the lap was solid just remember slow in, fast out

But it produced the absolute best accident in GT5 history :D (my GT5 history anyway). - and that was my fault!
