24 Heures Du Mans A Spec

Since I'm on spring break this week, I've decided to run the 24 Heures Du Mans. I'll be using the 2005 Pescarolo C60 Hybride-Judd.

I've got my popcorn next to me for when I get on the Mulsanne and a Howard Stern playlist next to me to keep me laughing. My goal is to do 2 hours before I go to sleep and then do a bunch over the next few days. I'm hoping to do hourly updates.

Updates:

1 hour and 10 seconds in, I've got a lead about half of the Mulsanne straight over the Oreca R8. The Bentley is in 3rd, the Hybride Judd in 4th and the Courage Judd GV5 in 5th. I'm on lap 17, made two pit stops, and medium tires seem to not last as long as softs because of the reduced grip. I'm going to sleep as I can't stay awake any longer.

2 Hours and 1 minute in, and quite a bit has happened.

I messed up an entry to the pitlane and lost nearly a full lap around the hour and 15 minute mark. I'm about 1:10 behind the leader at this point and I'm in 4th place on lap 33.
 
How did you mess up the entry to the pitlane? Did you get stuck there? 1 minute was a lot of time to lose. Just curious
 
Wow you're doing the 24hrs yourself, nice.

I'm doing it with friends (some of whom have never played GT5 before)
We are 18hrs in...

Were you too caught up in chasing someone down went past the pit entrance and then realized you didn't have enough tires and fuel for the lap..... because we've done that once.:crazy:
 
Actually what happened was that I spun while on the straight section heading to the pits. The car drove through the pits without stopping so I had to do a whole lap with no rear tire grip.

I've had to help out dad around the house today, but I'll get a massive chunk done tonight.

I actually was almost a whole lap down.

Might have been better to take a U turn and go in the pits? There is no black flag I suppose
 
I Just Pray That PD Will Actually Let Us Switch Off Our Consoles And Continue The Next Day . :D
 
3 hours in and I'm in the lead by about 5 seconds. I just got out of the pits and the rain is coming down but only at a light drizzle. The rain started around 2 hours and 38 minutes in, and I took the lead 5 minutes later. The rain has slowed lap times by about 8 seconds or so.

They're in the middle of pitstops I think, because the Bentley's been the top car for most of the race.
 
It's just after 4 in the morning and I'm 4 hours, 10.1 seconds into the race. I think I've got a firm grip on the lead of the race now.

I'm at 5 hours, 1 minute 15 seconds in, lap 83.

Got a 7 lap lead right now, still raining.

14 hours and 10 seconds in, thinking about not running the last 45 minutes if I have a big enough lead.

18 hours and 30 seconds in, I'm finally back on soft tires after the rain stopped at 17 hours and 35 minutes in. I'm going to finish the whole thing today!

Did you activate TCS?
I have tested the Pescarolo at Le Mans, after approximatly 3 laps the rear tires was burned down and the car nearly undriveable.
 
TCS is unbelievable. A small amount helps everything. But please, not too much. It becomes noticeable and slows you down by a lot at corners. I use 3.
 
Congratulations! I think that I would be doing the 24 hours of le mans into 2 months, because It's a big deal and I recently got some mean teachers that don't explain anything and it's becoming hard for me to catch up. So basically, I'm just at level 33. I will do complete 24 hours of le mans... b-spec, I heard you get a "Dream Car" right there.
