No, it's not the game freezing up on me.
My issue is trusting the game to be able to handle itself while I'm away if the weather goes from wet to dry without :censored:ing up my chances of winning.
So, I'm using the 2005 Audi R8 Team Oreca PlayStation for the 24 Hours of Le Mans and I have a 1 minute lead on the 2001 Audi R8 in full wet conditions when I go to bed with 14 hours to go. When I wake up with 8 and a half hours to go, it's completely dry, and my drivers is running on hard tires while tiring themselves out (even my lvl35 ups) and being over 1 lap down (about 4 1/2 minutes) to the Audi R8I had a lead on when I went to bed.
Any solutions? Or should I pick a more opprotune starting time for the races so I can catch myself back up (my next attempt to do the race will be Wensday).

There is nothing wrong with the car (expecially if you bought it a Turbo) - the problem is the way you are managing the race. 1 minute lead for B-Spec 10 Hours into the race is a recipe for failure ..especially if you then decide to go to bed. The trick is to manage the race in the beginning. Basicallly start the race and instruct the driver to "pace up" immedicately. When you have the lead, let the pace slip to just below the red and then give the maintain pace instruction. At this point you can switch to doing something like watching sports on TV or whatever but just make sure that you click the "X" two times (double click :-)) about once a minute ...until your first pit stop. When you do stop, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and sometimes 5th placed cars will pass and you will be around sixth. Come out of the pits and again maintain pace just below the red. Repeat this procedure for at least 3 hours. By then your B-Spec drivers will be lapping slower traffic. At this point you can leave them to do things on their own as the lapping of slower traffic agitates them and gets them hitting fast laps quite naturally. By the 6th or 7th hour your car should have lapped the 2nd placed car. If, at this point, you once again take up the pace up and maintain pace just below the red method, your car will lap the 2nd placed car AGAIN by the 10th hour of the race. This is because for some reason the other AI drivers slow down a bit after being lapped so the second lapping always comes faster than the first.

So, you would now have put in 10 hours, and be 2 laps ahead whether the conditions are dry or wet ...the perfect recipe for a solid 8 hours worth of sleep and not the lousy 5 and half hours you had :-). If it rains and your driver is now on hards, at worst you will find yourself on the lead lap when you wake up ....

Also If you are running the game version with the tire wear patch update, running racing Hard Tires will lose you time due to grip lost. Race mediums should now be used were possible.
be aware you only do the 24hr races once. The ring 4 hour still earns more exp..if you can restart it every 4Hrs...

Watch out for the Audi R10 le mans when it rains. Its fuel and Rain tires economy is were its AI comes to life.
