Here's the thing......I've started the 24hr race and I'm 4hrs in..........But I fear I've made a boo boo in car choice! As the sun is setting and pit lights are coming on.......it really is very beautiful lol but I'm driving A FGT (DUMB ASS):dunce:

Question; Will it be impossible to drive in the dark?
Have I wasted 4 hours, and will have to start again in a car with lights lol duh

If you have the driving line..... yes.
If not....your 🤬

I had the driving line on b4 I started and forgot to turn it off ........was buggin the hell out of me......Perhaps it was just as well.
Thanks!

Hmm maybe follow 2nd? I'm sure he will have headlights on :)

Not a bad idea lol I've a 9 lap lead now tho. Started getting dark now, but should be able go manage it.......I think

This made me chuckle, good luck man :)

haha funny XD but I'm not betterXD but good luck:)

Just be glad you didn't do the 24Hr 'Ring with the FGT without driving line..
That would be stressful...

Best of luck though. ;)

Follow this trick:
1. Pause your race...
2. Get your TV remote control and go to TV Menu and Adjust it's "Contrast" to the way you like it - like daytime.
3. Don't forget to turn it back to previous setting "if" you finish the race.

Goodluck.

Better idea: Quit, and pick a an LMP / GTP / Group C level car. You'll still murder them, you'll have more fun, AND you'll have headlights so can turn the driving line off.

If you pause and go to mini menu alter the EV light setting if that dont brighten it up enough alter the contrast a brightness on your tv.

Thanks guys.I had the same idea last night about the brightness/contrast. Did about an hour in the dark last night and it wasn't too bad (driving line saved me) apart from a couple small spins when the wheel touched a bit of grass. Yeah far too easy in the fgt, but I wanted to improve my skills with this beast and I think I'm getting the hang of it. Getting the tires to last until I've used a full tank and getting 3min/3.5min laps. Which I'm pleased with for driving conservatively

Use the tactic used in Initial D, keep behind a car with the headlights on and focus on the light in front of the car, keep your eye on the patch of light and stay behind.

Been driving completely fine in the dark (with the driving line) lap times have dropped off my fastest by 4/5 sec but really no problem 👍

I might the same thing but without the driving line, because it sounds like fun.

Would be completely impossible in the fgt (no lights) without the driving line. Really glad I've started it. Wouln't have attempted in without being able to suspend race option. Never seen the point of a 24 hour race until Now I'm actually doing it. :)

I'm going to use the tactic of following behind another car, tailing the rear lights and pulling ahead when the sun rises.

That does sound like a cool challenge, I can see a slight problem thou . . .

If you're in the FGT and following behind a LMP, you'll be driving at 8/10s and will get much longer tyre life. So which ever car you're following will need to pit for new rubber when yours has lots of life left.

The obvious answer is to still follow him into the pits, just that it'll be un-necessary.

You can try to make it interesting and try and link up with another car when the one you're following pits, could be fun.

Interesting tactic. I used that one night to get home from a bush party many moons ago!..Just be sure you don't tuck in behind the Lister Storm!...:sly:

To the OP:best of luck there Mate!...👍
