It's looking promising in my Veyron at 615 PP and on Sports Soft, under a clear blue sky. 10 laps between pit stops and there's a distance between me and the C60 Hybride-Judd slowly opening up.

Then when I am resuming a suspended game, during the loading screen I am shown rain. This becomes a blue sky again when the actual race is resumed in the pit lane. But for the first few laps the opposition are very slow indeed, and I easily open up a sizeable gap of one minute-plus until everything settles down to what it was before.

It is very annoying and has ruined all recent attempts at finishing the 24 hour le Mans without crashing the Veyron.

Only happening to me?

No - but the bug that caused this was fixed a couple of updates ago. Have you updated your game?

If not, I'd strongly recommend doing so but NOT IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR RACE! The alternative is to continually reload the game until the Resume screen shows weather conditions that are approximately the same as when you were last racing. The bug is that on Resuming the AI always equip the tyres appropriate to the Resume screen conditions, not the actual race.

I have updated the game, that's why I'm surprised the bug is still there. Thanks for the info ...I thought it was something like that.

(sorry for the month old necro - but it seems this bug is still there in some weird way)

I have a fully updated version of GT5, and I am still getting a bug like this, albeit the opposite way around. I started racing at Le mans in the dry, and about 2 hours in it was still dry and I saved the game. Perfect, resumed the next day and everything was fine. I was able to sit down and do a good 4 hours of racing. It started raining about 1 hour in to this stint, which was annoying because i prefer the dry, but I was still about 2 seconds a lap faster than number 2 and having a good time. Saved it again, thought everything was fine.

The next day when I resume the race, the second place AI is suddenly about 15 seconds a lap faster than me. He closes the minute gap I had over him extremely quickly, and although I fight for a lap or two, once he gets past me he steams off into the distance. I even resorted to cutting as many of the corners as possible to try and keep up. He was able to be at least 10 seconds a lap faster than me, despite being slower than me just a few laps ago. I knew something was amiss, but I carried on with it.

Anyway, when he pitted he was back to his normal self again and I was able to reel him in at about 2 seconds a lap... WTF!!?

This happens alot, you may not know but if you resume a suspended race in the rain, the A.I get hidden supersoft tyres without pitting, sport supersofts I think,It stil displays Racing Rain or whatever, but they get supersofts meaning they lap much faster, had this alot in B Spec 24h Le Mans race,A.I lap around 4:30-4:55 in the rain and suddenly after I resume they lap 4:10-4:25,this is in B-Spec so my bob(being told to speed up)laps around 4:30s sometimes dipping into the 4:20s,so he gets eaten up on traction and mid corner speed. But that was in the night and by then my driver had a 3lap lead(In a tuned R10).So he lost about half a lap,but when I suspend I do it when the 2nd place car is low on fuel and tyres,so minimise the time he gains on me when he gets supersofts,so instead of him gaining for 12laps,he gains only 1 or 2.

That just goes to show you how much pd forgot with a 1 year delayed "rush" to release gt5.

Reminds me of my wife. Ms. Last Minute.

Then the fact, that the ai gets ss tires and we dont, come on PD step your game up.

Make a patch for that you dumb 🤬's
