Message to Mods: I was unsure whether to post this thread here, or in the Motorsport subforum. Feel free to move it wherever it pleases you.
Inspired by my strange, obsessive, unending addiction to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, I have devised a special phrasal template for you all to fill in. What if 24-hour events were not limited to just car races?
Example 1: 24 Hours of Cotton Bowl - A football event where two teams of hundreds of players each compete to score the most points...within 24 strait hours. Similar to the aforementioned French motorsport race, players will be switched over time to sleep and take breaks.
Example 2: 24 Hours of (A LOCAL GOLF COURSE TRAIL) - A 24-hour cycling race where bikers race around a large golf course trail-turned-bike race track. Cycling teams of many players each will switch places on their bikes every few hours. The quality and durability of the bikes used will matter just as much as the endurance capabilities and efficiency of the bikers. Similar to an endurance race, the bike raced the most laps around the circuit at the end of 24 hours wins. Sprint-racing is discouraged, as cyclers who learn to bike efficiently will have longer stints.
Example 3: 24 Hours of (A BATTLEFIELD 3 MULTIPLAYER MAP) - In Battlefield 3 (PC), players can join in and out of a 24-hour-strait multiplayer team deathmatch event, featuring many players on each side. The side with the most kills at the end of the 24 hours wins.
Your objective here is simple: Just fill in the blank in the thread's title, and add a description of the event. Be creative, but also a bit realistic. 👍
