Fellow GT5ers, I need help making a decision:

I'm on holiday right now, but at home I'm 10 hours into the 24 Hours of Le Mans in my stock 787B and I don't know if I want to continue...I really want to try the new DLC, because I'm actually a big fan of every car in the pack! I'm not really motivated to continue because first of all, I wish I was in my Minolta (I'm one of the few that still love Toyota), and also because I really want to do the seasonals and short themed races like WRC, Touring Cars, and Street Racing, things like that, to keep things fresh.

So should I keep at the 24 hours of Le Mans, or throw in the towel and wait until I can do the 24 hour races in a couple weeks during summer when I don't have school?

Thanks, and Merry Christmas everybody!

Im not really a racer because I drift a lot. But I would stop the 24h le mans, enjoy the DLC etc. And after holiday when your off school get in your Minolta and do the race 👍 And merry christmas and happy new year!

I'd quit. I think you'd be happier if you waited and did the enduros in the summer, and drove about a bit now. Go have fun! and merry Christmas to you too!

Also, as a follow up question, can I still get the concept II Toyota FT-86 if I continue Le Mans by buying another paint pack? I won't be able to actually use any of the DLC for a while in the game, and I love Toyota, so hopefully that deal doesn't expire. That's another one of my main concerns.

First off, don't be like me - I quit half way into the Laguna Seca endurance because it got boring.

You're ten hours in - don't waste it by quiting. The longer you wait to get the DLC, the better it will taste (:P) when you buy it and drive the cars for the first time (and trust me, the DLC is worth it).

14 hours in a 787B (which is a beautiful car IMO) shouldn't be too bad. Now, if it was raining non-stop, I'd say just quit. Gets to be a major pain in the 🤬.

Actually, if you quit now, and then re-do it in the x2010, you'd only be gaining +4 hours of racing, since, with the x2010, you can put the controller down for about 6 hours

quit, enjoy dlc, and re-do with x2010

Quit game, save and go to your other user. Buy and enjoy DLC. easy.

If you quit now, thanks to the tyre physics change in 2.02, your next race during the holidays will require you to pit much more often than you currently do. I would do the opposite from the above, continue and then when you complete it the DLC will taste all the much sweeter. It odes depend on how many hours per day you are racing it for.

I quit 11 hours in when Spec2.0 and DLC1 came out, look back now and proverbially kick myself. I was averaging 4 hours a day so would only have needed to wait 3 more afternoons..

Well, I like to play the game how it's designed to be played, so I don't have an other account. I'm leaning towards keeping at it (although right before 9 hours in started raining and still was when I left :banghead:.) The only reason I'd be inclined to quit is if the Concept II FT-86 deal for duplicate purchases ends soon, because let's face it, I'm a bit of a Toyota and Japanese car fanboy. DLC can wait, I think I'd be much happier to earn it and finish a race as daunting as the 24 hours of Le Mans. 👍

How do you know the deal to get the FT-86 II Concept end soon? Was there a date?

I would finish the race if I were you. I completed the 24 Hours of Le Mans over a week back before the in race saves and it will forever be one of my favorite GT experiences. The sun rise was absolutely an amazing experience after hours of being in the dark. I know its kind of stupid because its a video game but it felt like I accomplished something when I finished. I still plan to run it again and have yet to do the Nürburgring 24 Hours but absolutely plan to. So after all that, finish the race, the DLC will be there later.

Continue it. The DLC cars will always be there, but you never know if you'll be able to do the 24h race again.

I'd muddle through it. At least the Le Mans 24 is an enjoyable race. I almost quit the Nurburgring 24 hours a couple times when I was about 6 hours into it just because it's not half as genuine as Le Mans. That and my Peugeot 908 was like:

I was in the middle of the Suzuka 1000km when I downloaded the update.

Needless to say, I nearly lost the race in the end.

I agree, 24 hours on Le Mans flew by compared to 24 hours on the ring. Wouldn't fancy doing Le Mans in an x car though, unless just doing it to get it out of the way and if that's the case I'd rather continue with the 10 hour head start.

You can always straight line it over the last couple of s bends and cut the corner before the straight if you want to save up enough of a lead to put the controller down for a while.

Now you can save mid-race just quit and get the dlc done, then enjoy the cars AND do the endurance race :-)

Dude if you're asking the question then you're already going to stop, you're just seeking validation I reckon.

That's not a bad thing either, it's just how some folks "roll": They struggle to finish what they started. That isn't me being a prick either dude, it's just an observation based on experience 👍

Personally? I say you should struggle through it and then you can say, with honesty, that you completed a 24 hour race. Fact is, of the worlds population there's, not a lot that can say they've done one, either with a save or not, so I say go for it :)

If you are already 10 hours in the race, i dont think you should stop, only 14 left. The DLC Car Pack 2 will always be around 👍

I'll keep at it, thanks for the motivation guys!

If the FT-86 II Concept deal expires, who cares? I'd rather finish Le Mans! And yeah, the DLC will taste GREAT after I'm done.

No, I just wanted to get input to help me make a decision, because others see things in a different way.

Before I posted I was ready to quit. Now I'm going to continue 'til I see the fake Gran Turismo trophy pop up (if I win. I'm only 25 seconds ahead right now! :scared:)

GO FOR 24 Hours! Dude, its awesome when your done!

You're already ten hours in, right? Once you're that committed to a race, there's no going back at this point. You've got fourteen hours left. The DLC is always going to be there and in the end, you'll be getting 1,000,000+ credits.

Finish the race, you'll regret it if you leave it.
