24 Hours of LeMons photos - Sears Pointless

I've always been a fan of the idea of the 24 Hours of LeMons races and finally got the chance to go to one today.

For those of you who don't know, it is a race for $500 cars. 170 reject cars flood race tracks and battle it out in a less than serious race.

I took a bunch of photos and uploaded them to flickr. I'm posting here because I figure some of you may be interested in seeing the photos of all the ridiculous cars running around Infineon Raceway in the rain. 👍

Team Pink Lloyd only finished 6 laps :( Would have loved to see it out on the track with the rest.

Looking at the pictures, I have contradictory feelings towards that event. I like the spirit and the idea behind it, but at the same time it hurts me a bit to see some fairly rare cars in there.
 
If the car is in the race at all, that means that it was in pretty much irredeemable condition when the team bought it.
