An observation I found:

When I was driving an RX-7 FC GT-X on the 24H Nurburgring, I noticed (through the in car clock) that the time is set that 1 minutes equals approx. 2 seconds, and that (through calculation) you could get through 24 hours in 48 minutes.

Did Polyphony do this deliberately so we could drive a full '24H' race in a fraction of the time?:eek:

How do you do that
 
Well the fuel gauges don't work so why would a clock work properly. I'm sure it's just for display.
 
Maybe he wasn't talking about the actual 24h endurance but just the 24h layout of the Nürburgring in practice mode or something. The clocks do work fine and acording to the track day time.

Right, or online mode. I thought you could set time progression slower or quicker and the car's clock acts accordingly. Likewise, if there is no time progression, the clock will remain still.
 
The clock set for the time of the track not the real time .
i noticed that in the same car just couple of days ago .
 
In free practice the time is speeded up on all tracks with day/night changes, probably to show off the effects of time change quickly, only in the 24 hour endurance races it's set to 'real time'.
And online you can select the amount of 'time speed', if you take a car out in free practice with a clearly visible and working clock (for example a '69 Chevy Camaro) you'll indeed see the clock going faster which illustrates time going faster obviously.
