I am beginning the 24hr Circuit de la Sarthe 2009 endurance race at 12:15 AM Central Time (US) 4/21/2012. I am driving the Toyota 88C-V Race Car '89 with hard race tires and some transmission tuning. Has anyone completed this race? Any tips or general advice for me? Any problems that I should be wary of running into? Thanks!

A tip I can bring out to you is monitor the AI carefully and occasionally, even if they are pretty slow. In some periods throughout the 24 hours, the AI will suddenly keep up and actually cut distance from pitting at a default pace. And also back-up your save after each race suspension (if planned to do so), so you can easily revert back if something goes wrong.

Try using a different, more competetive car. ;)

Boredom...

Agreed. Try using a car that won't completely thrash the opposition. Make it a challenge for yourself, that'll keep you interested in the race. Otherwise, after a few hours when you're several laps ahead, you'll be bored s:censored:less.

I was also thinking about starting this race. I have this one and the other 24hr race to do then my game will be 100% complete. I was thinking of using either the Speed 8 or the Audi Playstation Team Oreca car. I'll probably break it into 4 hr stints taking me 6 days to complete. Can't see myself racing more than 4 hours a day. My attention span isn't that long, lol. Took me 2 days just to complete the 9hr race, lol. Good luck to you. Peace.

The player's ability should be factored before a response such as this is made. Sure, I would be inclined to use something slower (and I did (Peugeot 905)), but not eveyone has the ability to maintain a high pace when tires wear more and the weather turns.
