Report
This section will be updated every so laps. How long between stints will depend. So the report will stop when a stint ends and will continue when it resumes.

Laps 1-5:
Started off pretty well. The heavy rain making things a lot more tougher now :grumpy: But I moved up in position pretty well, while trying to recover from lots of wheelspin. Moved up to 3rd position after the 5th lap.

Laps 6-8:
Fuel drops to around 50%, while position moves up to 2nd place. I had a couple of spin-outs like around Tetre Rouge when I was trying to overtake 2nd place until I overshot into the sand. But after getting a bit distant away from 3rd, 1st place driver seems really, really far. I cannot even see the guy pop up even once in my view.

Laps 9-11:
Fuel drops to around 25%, rear tires eaten to around 50%. As the rain pummels down onto the track, the current conditions is very tough to overcome. Had another wipeout on Tetre Rouge, getting me closer to 3rd place driver, and another at Mulsanne, making him adjacent to me, but I lost his view soon after. Then I caught sight of 1st place at Ford Chicanes, but I kept losing him as my condition worsens.

Lap 12:
Pitted w/ new set of rain tires and fuel refilled by 75 over 90. Upon exit my position dropped to 4th, so more work for me.

Lap 13-14:
Rolling well. A huge wipeout once again on Tetre Rouge but recovered with little split time loss. And 3rd, 2nd, and 1st pitted so I gained pole :)

Lap 15 - 1 Hour Passes, 23 More Hours to Go :D

Laps 15-16:
The sky suddenly changes to a bright whitish color, so hopefully the rain ends at future laps. Anyways, I'm still pole, w/ 50% fuel and strong tires.

Laps 17-18:
Still going strong. Fuel dropped to +25%.

Lap 19:
Pitted with fresh tires and refill at 60 from 75.

Lap 20-23:
Now lapping the field :) Best time also came under 4 minutes!

Lap 28:
Pitted w/ new tires and full refill. Rain continues to fall as usual.

Lap 29 - 2nd Hour Passes, 22 More Hours to Go :D
Summary so far: Still in pole position, lapping the field. The car itself obviously has scratches and dents, but it really gives the appearance an Oomph from the race's conditions. I'm not sure about the game time though. One half of the sky is cloudy, while the other is blue. Correction: Now 3/4 of the sky is blue, while the other is cloudy. I'd also harnessed the wheelspin and modulated it pretty well. Lap times range around the 4 minute mark.

Lap 30-35:
Rain ferociously falls to Earth still, while I have another wipeout after the Porsche Curves. I'd let the Team Oreca pass and made a run for it.

Lap 36-38:
Fuel dropped all the way to 25%. And suddenly I start to show a bit of deterioration, as my lap times started to go down.

Lap 39:
Pitted with new tires and full refill. The rain also reduced to a drizzle, yay!

Lap 40 - Race Temporarily halted to go eat  Race now resumed!

Lap 43 - 3rd Hour Passes, 21 More Hours to Go :D
Summary so far: Fortunately the sky is starting to glow blue while the rain clouds is being engulfed by it very slowly, so hope that rain will stop. Other than that everything's the same. I still get small injuries to the car but all-in-all it's going pretty well. I think I lapped the entire field :)

Lap 45:
I noticed that I negotiate Chicane I and II differently from each other on Mulsanne Straight O.o

Lap 46:
Pitted, with same settings.

Lap 49:
When I switched to Cockpit view, the amount of droplets falling and trailing on the windshield wasn't there, just weak ones. Me thinks rain about to stop :3

Lap 50 - Rain Officially Stops :D

Lap 51:
Pitted to ready for new conditions (Race Mediums)!

Lap 53:
As hydroplaning becomes less apparent, so does nightfall and a new best lap time :) Also, where in the world is the other opponents?? O.O

Lap 58 - 4th Hour Passes, 20 More Hours to Go :D NOTE! 2 Hours until Stint is Over!
Summary so far:
Now that God stopped sweating, my times reduced dramatically to around the 3:30 marks. The front of the car looks like it's fitted with those Spy Foils >.<, and still can't find another driver in sight. Nighttime also became a bit more severe, so I anticipate pitch black travel will be safe :scared:

Lap 61:
A beautiful, lustrous sunset illuminates nearly the entire track, before darkness knocks on the door, waiting to take its place.

Laps 62-66:
The driving is almost like a walk in the park, in a literal sense. And finally I encounter some life on the track e.o

Lap 68:
The surface is completely dry. No more slip n' sliding :p

Lap 69:
Pitted with usual settings. Nighttime also falls, making the driving a bit more terrifying, but I'm a rock! If I can overcome the rain, I can overcome this!

Lap 74 - 5th Hour Passes, 19 More Hours to Go :D NOTE! 1 Hour until Stint is Over!
Summary so far:
The sun begone to slumber while darkness awakens and engulfs the sky, but the track isn't so scary at all. I'm also lapping the field once more :3

Lap 76:
Had a huge wipeout at the Porsche Curves. A R390 passed me but no matter, he was blasted into the water ;)

Lap 77:
Most. Terrible. Lap. EVER. My rear tires completely shot on me and spent half of the race wipeouting :grumpy: There also goes my 2nd lapping..

Lap 78-81:
After exiting out of the pits from the grueling previous lap, 1st position suddenly passed me but I regained it quite quickly (that's right). And fireworks! :dopey:

Lap 86:
Pitted for new set of tires (they wore out pretty quick). Getting tired and sleepy..

Lap 87 - 6th Hour Passes, 18 More Hours to Go :D
1st Stint is Now Over!
I think I'll resume again tomorrow. When I will depends.
-------

Reflection:
This is my longest stint I've ever done on any game, so a cookie for me!
cookie-1.gif

Anyways, the initial laps were pretty well. The rain was certainly a huge challenge and made me spin-out and crash many times. Nightfall at the last few hours of the stint also got me, resulting of Lap 77. Nevertheless, the roar of the 787B and these conditions kept the excitement going and I hope it continues on future stints.
-------
Start Of 2nd Stint

+14 Additional Laps
This spot is a way to move up the laps to 101 :) (one more added, see below)
Summary: The Pescarolo suddenly became insanely fast and was able to burn me on the straights :grumpy: Now that I suspended the race it'll take more time to keep up and pit, since fuel and tires wear out very quickly on Sarthe. Also had some sharp battles w/ this insta-beast, some didn't end up as it should, leaving me behind. Some did, but failed soon after. This calls for a bit of tactical strategies...

Lap 104 - 7th Hour Passes, 17 More Hours to Go :D
Summary so far: Okay, I'm now at 3rd and it's taking a while to regain pole. My plan to is to refuel when my fuel drops to 50% and since the AI pits when their fuel is almost gone, I can take advantage of that. But no rush though, I have a bit of time but I do have to get to pole soon as time starts to click down surprisingly quick on this track :scared:

Lap 106-108:
I pitted according to my plans and passed 3rd and 2nd. Now leaves me 1st at less than 30 seconds split time :trouble:

Lap 109-111:
I got closer and closer to 1st before he pitted into the pits! I'm not sure if my plan is right but hopefully he stays in there for a while (I think he's the Pescarolo).

Lap 112:
Another guy took his place, leaving a gap of less than 10 seconds between me and him :scared: Fuel also dropped to 50%, so another pole loss :grumpy:

Lap 113:
Pitted with usual settings. Position dropped to 3rd. Gap at 1 minute. Almost forgot, the weather is still completely dry, and still pitch black, but it doesn't bother me at all :)

Lap 114-115:
Kept up with 2nd, total gap 30 seconds :) So it took me only 2 laps to keep up. I'm saying this because to make sure I don't lose at the last hours of the race.

Lap 116-117:
Caught up with 2nd, which was surprisingly the Audi R10 TDI, before I accidentally but appeared to be intentional bumped into his rear wheel when he spun his car out on Mulsanne. I'll be able to defend this for a couple more laps 'til my plan goes online again.

Lap 118-119:
Pitted with usual settings (added more Useful Info), dropping me to 3rd again. Fortunately I'm only 20 seconds away, yayz!

Lap 120 - 8th Hour Passes, 16 More Hours to Go :D
Summary so far: I continue to have some sharp battles with podium drivers, like the Audi and the Pescarolo, some I'm working with a bit of strategy here. Still pitch black, and fireworks still booming near the paddocks. A nice sight to see after Indianapolis.

Lap 121-122:
Gained up to 1st place driver, which is a Pescarolo. We were neck-in-neck lots of times, which was quite exciting :3

Lap 123-124:
Regained pole, gapped at 5 seconds from Pesky Pescarolo. Also noticed fireworks stopped erupting, so it could mean daylight is arousing.

Lap 125-126:
Pitted with usual settings, dropping me to 2nd (2nd place driver prior to entering entered with me also, so he dropped as well). Only a 20 second gap from 1st :D Also had a minor wipeout through Porsche Curves, but recovered in a snap.

Lap 127:
1st place driver pitted, so I stole back pole! :)
EDIT: Wiped out before the Ford Chicane. Once again a quick recover.

Lap 128-131:
Just simple defending. Also crashing a lot than usual O.o

Lap 132:
Pitted with usual settings. Position now 3rd. Gap 30 seconds, so moar woark.

Lap 133-134:
Passed 2nd who was the Bentley (he pitted, so..), and now have 1st to be concerned.

Lap 135:
Passed 1st position. I didn't pay attention how but I think he pitted.

Lap 137 - 9th Hour Passes, 15 More Hours to Go :D
Summary so far: Things subtly cool down as I remain in pole position, while the awesome fireworks stopped. I'm also having minor crashes a lot more than usual O.O

Lap 139:
Pitted as usual. Somebody stole my 1st so I'm huntin' 'em down!

Lap 140-143:
Building my way up to 1st. Passed by a Viper, a CLK, and the 1st position dude at the last of the Mulsanne Straight. Also I think I have a false perception of the sky getting brighter O.e
EDIT: Oh my peanuts, I didn't even notice doing Lap 143! Wth??

Lap 146:
Pitted with usual settings. 2nd did not pass me at all, yay!

Lap 147-148:
Added a bit of background music to make things a little interesting ;3

Lap 152:
Pitted with usual settings. The blasphemous 2nd driver retook his rightful throne and now I rebel with all my might + sum music!

Lap 153 - 10th Hour Passes, 14 More Hours to Go :D
Summary so far: Everything's going swell. Have a bit of driving music to make things interesting, maintaining pole, a good pit strategy. Still pitch black, but hey, doesn't matter :3

Lap 154-157:
Just basic walk-in-the-park with awesome driving music! ;)

Lap 158:
Pit stop with same settings.

Lap 159-162:
Another walk-in-the-park, but 2nd position is approaching slowly every second :scared: Also new best lap!

Lap 165:
Pitted unusually usual. Still holding the pole throne!

Lap 166-168:
Indulging Driving Music + Intense Enduro = Awesome Experience

Lap 169 - 11th Hour Passes, 13 More Hours to Go :D NOTE! I'm going to complete 'til the 200th lap!
Summary so far: Everything is pretty calm. Dark as nigh as usual, and not much competition. Approaching the other half of the race hour so yay for me! :3

-- Race Temporarily halted so I can eat  -- Race now Resumes!

Lap 173:
Pit with the same o' settings. I think I'm lapping the field :)

Lap 178-179:
I decided to wait patiently after exiting from the pits for the AI to keep up, since I'm not going to defend the pole for +150 more laps. Besides, I would like to have that competition back from the early 2nd stint laps :)

Lap 182:
Kay, 2nd position, which is a Pescarolo, inconveniently pitted so another patient pause to let him catch up.

Milestone!! Lap 184 - 12th Hour Passes, 12 More Hours to Go :D NOTE! I'm stopping at the 200th lap!
Summary so far: Halfway done, yayyyyyy!! Anywho, I haven't made much updates because there isn't anything good going on. But now I'm actually inside the pack (4th position), it should spice things up enough for a couple of hours.

Laps 185-189:
Passed all of 'em quite easily, I'm afraid. Also, still pitch black, no sign of light yet.

Lap 192:
Pitted, willing to choose same settings. This should give 'em AI a bit of time to catch up, eh?

Lap 193-196:
Well, the pit stop on Lap 192 did let probly a Pescarolo pass me, and so far it is taking a ridiculously long time to catch up. Now I know how the AI feels :( And A Special Report! Daylight sinks into the sky from the West! Hopefully the crystal blue sky can be witnessed by everyone!

Lap 198:
Pitted, no hesitation to follow the same guidelines. 1st place driver pitted at the same time so I gained pole :) And my Special Report is correct! The sky is almost filled of crystal blue colors, but the sun didn't rise completely though.

Lap 200 - 13th Hour Passes, 11 More Hours to Go :D
2nd Stint is Now Over!
I'll probably start up 3rd Stint later tonight or tomorrow. So stay tuned!
------

Reflection:
A very excellent Stint. At the beginning I had a wicked battle with the Pescarolo and the Audi R8, but suddenly ended so inconveniently and continued on to maintaining pole, which lasted until Lap 178-179, where'd I let some of the AI catch up. After that decision, the Pescarolo only came by, and after the 2nd attempt, the guy crazily became a lightning and just flew off. So far it's taking me a long time just to get to him, like if he's only moving when I'm moving :grumpy: Fortunately, sunlight erupted from the West, brightening up everything, but not completely though. As for the AI that is purposely ignored by me, they come by every so often to pummel off any chasers.
------
Start Of 3rd Stint
Only 11 more hours into the event until its ultimate finish. I'm very excited to come this close w/o getting too bored.
Lap 201:
I make my way out of the pits and onto the track. The foggy sun reeks the entire sky while I maintain my pole. Perhaps slow down sometimes to let the AI catch up once again.

Lap 205:
Oh no! The rain is back! Dx Also allowed the Pescarolo to pass me.

Lap 207:
Pitted as always. I haven't caught up with the Pescarolo and surprisingly nobody overtook me.

Lap 208-210:
The cursed rain continues to erode the ground but the track surface isn't increasing. Weird. The Pescarolo is nowhere to be seen.

Lap 211-214:
Now that the track surface is increasing, it's gonna make things a bit more tough. Also pitted while the Pescarolo took his place.

Lap 216 - 14th Hour Passes, 10 More Hours to Go :D
Summary so far: Rain boots up for another fight while I remain in podium position. For some reason I'm seeing low-position drivers a lot less now. Daylight finally showed up in so no more darkness for me. And now only 10 hours left, I'm eager to finish this grueling race. Surface conditions is raising as well, so I'm bound to switch to Rain tires soon, and wheelspin to manage again.

Ignore Laps 201-216! I accidentally selected the Exit button when I was changing some Quick Options. I was about to panic but I noticed it did not saved when I exited out, so my suspension was still there from Lap 200. So I'm very lucky it didn't. Lost an hour of progress but it's better than starting from point one!

Laps 201-206:
Had some nice sharp battles with the Pescarolo carrying 1st. We were neck-in-neck many times on the straights, bumping into his rear bumper every time we approached a corner. It was a delight. To maintain that I pitted with him. It's almost like we're a couple

Lap 207-215:
A lot of neck-in-neck'ing with the Pescarolo, and a Toyota GT-One joined in with the club too!

Lap 216 - 14th Hour Passes, 10 More Hours to Go :D
Summary so far: It's a delight that I'm battling with my couple, the Pescarolo  Pitted at the same time, waited for him to keep up. The surface is also getting wetter by the minute.

Lap 217-222:
Moar battling with my couple, until we parted in the pits. No matter, I'll chase 'em down like a plague!

Lap 223-226:
Had to pit twice since the rain worsened and had to switch to Rain tires. This dropped me down to 4th and the heavy rain is adding a lot of hydroplaning. Fortunately the 3rd place driver pitted, so I continue on my journey!

Lap 227-228:
Rain continues to fall, now like the conditions early in the race. Meaning huge wheelspins and wipeouts :grumpy: I have to do my very best in this rain or else I'll lose. Getting a bit intense, eh?

Lap 229-230:
The situation is not looking too good.. The rain continues to make things harder while I drop in position when I pit, then overcome the enormous hydroplaning again. Hopefully I adapt quickly and regain pole.
EDIT: I'm at 3rd now due to 2nd pitting, but 4th moving up to 3rd. By the way guys to prevent confusion here's the current positions (should've have done one earlier but ah well):
1) Pescarolo (S. Sihvonen)
2) Audi R8 (Team Playstation) (T. Sloan)
3) Me
4) Bentley Speed 8 (A. Asano)
I'll be using the driver's names now.

Lap 231 - 15th Hour Passes, 9 More Hours to Go :D
Summary so far: Situation - Not looking well. The confounded heavy rain just made things excessively tougher, and the 787B hydroplanes ridiculously, while Sloan and Sihvonen enjoys their positions :grumpy: But I believe I can be my very best to my abilities to overcome this nuisance. I did the same in the beginning and I can replicate it now. Hopefully my skills adapts to the conditions quickly.

Lap 232:
Luckily Sloan pitted so now I can focus on Perilous Sihvonen.
EDIT: Sihvonen also pitted so now I have both of their positions :D

-- Gotta go do something :p --Resuming!

Lap 234:
Lol, sequential numbers :3

Lap 235-237:
I adapted quite quickly to the rain, so now I'm able to handle it a lot better.

Lap 238:
Pit, pit, pit. I'm quite far from the podium drivers, as well. The bad news is that the rain moved up to heavy rain.

Lap 239-242:
Continuing to hold the Pole throne :) I think I know how to go through the rain now.

Lap 245 - 16th Hour Passes, 8 More Hours to Go :D
Summary so far: Podium drivers Sihvonen and Sloan all gone ca'put, so I'll be keeping the King's throne for a while. Rain still destroys the track, but I'm managing it very well.

Lap 246-251:
I'd let Sihvonen pass me for a bit battling but it ended quickly as AI was slower in the rain, so I continue with my pole. Also pitted for the millionth time lol.

From this point on, I'll maintain my pole until the race is finished! Till then I will no longer update the Report!
I'm almost to the 20th hour so that is the reason why.

Ladies and Gentlemen: I present before you...

Thanks Gatrs! :)

I forgot to record the starting positions so the opponent roster is in no particular order.

Use Racing tires in the rain, since single player grip reduction is set to low, this will give you better grip :)

Edit: And you better finish in time before the ALMS race Friday! :scared:

Meh, using Rains makes it a tad harder, as I'm going to be on pole the entire race probably :)

And hopefully I do till then. I'm planning on 6 hour stints max, so that gives me 4 days to complete it, or if I decide to add some hours.

1st stint is now over. I'll probably resume and continue on to 2nd stint but not sure when though. I'll keep this updated when I find the right time 👍

Great car choice! 👍 That'll be the first car I use in that race when I go back home for Winter Break. What car is in 2nd?

And I like your idea of typing lap reports as you go, breaks up the dullness lap after lap.

Thanks! :) It's certainly a very nice car for this intense Enduro. And the 2nd position is I think the C60 Hybride Judd Race car. It kept up with me quite easily after Lap 77 :scared:

And yes, it does break up the tediousness of the race. One of the reasons why I started this thread.

EDIT: Added 13 more laps to push it to 100 :)

Good luck! Catch the Pesky Pescarolo! 👍

Thanks Hun! Nice to see the guy who was willing to complete all the Enduros in one go 👍

And aww man! I accidentally hit the Exit button while changing some Quick Options! :ouch: Very, very luckily, it did not saved, so I resumed back to Lap 200, so I lost an hour of progress. Hey, better than starting all over again :sly:

It is official! I'm now the Pole Winner of the legendary 24hr of Le Mans! Many thanks for the GTP community for helping me out on this grueling event!

Post-Le Mans I'll be making a Gallery and maybe a Reflection of the entire event. Stay tuned!

What tyres did you use to set the fastest rain times and how wet was the track? I'm currently doing this in the 908 and my dry times are about 2 or 3 seconds slower than you (on Racing Mediums), but on Racing Rains on a 100% wet track, I can only manage about 4:06. I can go below 4:00 on Intermediates although it's a bit cheaty as the AI is so poor in the rain, so I just stay on full wets.

I'm currently running this race as well; a little over 4 hrs in. The rain has yet to cease falling and I am beginning to wonder if I'll ever be graced with blue skies and dry tarmac. Using R35 TC at 876 hp with Racing Softs. Full race report upon completion (giving myself til Wednesday in random stints).

Since most of the race was heavy rain, the surface was 100%. I used Rain tires, as stated in the Report. I got 4:00 times mostly.

You'll probably see at least one time where the rain would stop and the surface to go down to at least 20%. My opportunities was during the night and at the end of the race.

Well I certainly hope the rain let's up, I'm having a bit of trouble putting in consistent laptimes. So far my top lap was 3:20.9xx (0 offs and 2 drafts). 10 hours to go as I couldn't play as much as I wanted to yesterday because of the whole "life" thing.
