296 GT3 Fast launches

Hi, I’ve been experimenting with getting the 296 GT3 off the line quickly but it always bogs at 3000rpm. I played with starting in 2nd, different TC, different revs, but it seems programmed to do it. Is there a sneaky way around it, so I can use the car fairly in lobbies with standing starts?

Controller or wheel?

With the controller, launch in first, no TC. When the start happens, easy up on the throttle a little. Then short shift to second once you get rolling. Practice with the F3500.

For the wheel, it's kind of the same thing, unless you're using a clutch, etc, etc.

Hi, I had a quick go with the F3500 but it’s not wheel spin that limits the 296, it’s more that the revs plummet to exactly 3000 and it sits there until 30mph, almost like it’s trying to do launch control built into the game. It goes away with BOP off and a large turbo, but I’m BOP on with a wheel too (although pad was identical)
