I work in the area around the VW UK headquarters and was lucky enough to see one of these in person. To be honest I found it far more exciting than the usual Aston Martin (the Newport Pagnell workshop is a few miles away) identikit models at the time. This was a mini VW Nardo with covered wheels ala Jaguar Le Mans cars. So cool!
