Ok, I know alot of you are going to be mad at me, but this what I think of the 3 sims coming out.

GT4 Vs. Forza Vs. Enthusia: My views.

Gran Turismo 4. A great game that has yet to be delivered to the rest of the world. The wait is going to make me ask after playing it, if I ever get to, "Was it worth my long wait?" GT4 has an extremely good line-up of cars. Many other games don't have. The courses are really well done, and the fantasy courses are really well put together. However, 600+ cars can hurt it as well. Not many people are going to want some of the cars in the game at all, and may not drive them at all. The weather changes hurts realism due to there not being any. Racing for a real 24 hours without weather changes isn't good for a game going for racing realism. The photomode is great, as everyone likes to take picture of their cars. However, only 1 car may not be enough for some. I know some people want from 2-5 of their own cars than 1. The photomode locations are well done as well.
B-Spec is also great as it introduces strategy to GT players. It can be a bit boring though watching a racer go around the track for a while.
All in all, GT4 is excellent, and even there are some flaws, it will still turn out to be a great game.

Forza. Microsoft's shot at racing simulation. And for a 1st, its doing very well. The new look from the new build is excellent. Forza's line-up is great as well. Racing cars that don't get a lot of recogition are in. The modifications are great as well, as many Online players will want to be unique, and known for their cars. The racing modes from Autocross to Point-to-Point is great as well. Regions seem like a great feature, and system of rarity and that is done well. The courses are really nice looking, and although not a lot of real courses, still very nice. The 3 test tracks are great, and I for one, will be doing a lot of testing at the Drag Track.
From the looks of it though, the 700+ racing events can hurt the game. There is saying. "There's such a thing as too much," and that goes for Forza. It seems to many of the events are really way to silly. These events make Forza seem has it will take a long time to complete 100%.

Enthusia Profession Racing. My eye is set on this game the most. The realism seems intense, and even though there are complaints of it being "too realistic", well, isn't that a good thing for a driving sim? I think yes. The video of the Mazda Miata shows that Enthusia is serious. Best yet, this is coming from Konami, a company that is making a game to compete with PD and Sony and Microsoft, which we all know are big companies. As for a line-up of cars, I can't say at the moment, but there are some nice cars. Same goes for tracks. The rally track in the E3 show looks really well done. Tuning is another thing I can't comment on at the moment.I am really excitied to see what Konami has in store for us.

Conclusion:
GT4, Forza, and Enthusia seem to be special all in their own way. GT4 has its big 24 hour races, Photomode, and B-Spec mode. Forza has its unique line-up of race cars, and racing modes. Enthusia...has its very nice realism.
Of course, when it comes down to it all, all 3 will be Top Simulators. They all have their Unique things, but also their own frozen cons.

So who will come out on top?
Well, I don't care. If you're like me...You'll buy all 3, and enjoy them all.
I know...I will.

This is NOT a VS. thread. If people start VSing in here, guess I'll have to have a mod lock it. But I really don't care what you think, and maybe, you shouldn't care what I think.

G'night.

I think you're focusing on the wrong details here. You're pointing out things that, in my opinion, doesn't make one game a better simulation than the other. A perfect example here...

"Was it worth my long wait?"

Just because you had to wait isn't gonna change the gameplay. Either it's good or it's not.

However, 600+ cars can hurt it as well. Not many people are going to want some of the cars in the game at all, and may not drive them at all.

Ummm... So? How is that gonna hurt it? I barely touched any cars outside of what was produced in Japan, but I'd still want more cars. With more cars I have a better variety to choose from. Sure there's gonna be more cars that I won't drive, but there's also gonna be a LOT more that I will wanna drive.

However, only 1 car may not be enough for some. I know some people want from 2-5 of their own cars than 1.

Again, this isn't a feature that will make or break the game. Almost seems like you're looking for things to complain about.

From the looks of it though, the 700+ racing events can hurt the game. There is saying. "There's such a thing as too much," and that goes for Forza.
There's also a thing such as replay value. Games get boring when you do the same race over, and over again. The more events the better in my opinion. That just means I'll be playing the game longer, and enjoying it more.

You did make a good point about GT4 though. The weather will play a factor in the games realism. You need to keep in mind though the hundreds of other little details Polyphony is incorporating to make this game the best. The pros BY FAR out way the cons.

All in all though, I think it really comes down to physics, tunability, modifications, and graphics. Those are the key points that I feel will make these games what they are.

P.S. In my personal opinion the Gran Turismo series will remain on top as far as console simulations go. I have yet to see anything to comvince me otherwise. I'm not saying these games are bad, they're just not GT.

The "long wait" for GT4 will be forgotten as soon as you have it in your hands. You won't remember, nor will you care, how long you had to wait for it.

And you'll still have it before Forza or Enthusia is in stores.

For me, the choice is quite simple. Forza doesn't even enter into the equasion at all... I don't own an Xbox. So that leaves GT4 and Enthusia. Will I get GT4? Certainly, it's already paid for. Will I get Enthusia? It depends on what the reviews say, whether or not it's actually as good as Konami is boasting. Am I forced to pick one or the other? Of course not, that's rediculous.

In fact, the whole "either/or" argument is rediculous. While there may be a small handful of us who can only afford one game or the other, I can assure you they're in the minority. The rest of us have jobs, and/or enough money sitting around to do with as we please, and are in the position to get both. This isn't a "loyalty" thing to a particular franchise or developer. It's not Star Wars or Star Trek... Hell, I like both Wars and Trek. And if need be, I'll get both GT4 and Enthusia. I'm not going to claim Enthusia's the devil just because it's not GT4. Hell, I've got more racing games downstairs than I know what to do with.. TOCA2, NFSU2, R: Racing Evolution, GT3... I've got 'em all. I don't "choose" between one or the other, and I don't hate one thing just because it's not another thing.

.

It seems more like there's some really uneeded cars. Hardly anybody is gonna want to drive this or that car. Like many have said before me, why not take those out, and fill the space with something new.

A Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II Midnight Purple Edition. Is that really necessary?

Some people like Midnight Purple.
Yes, but the need to have a Midnight Purple Edition is necessary to the already 6-10 R34s, which 6 can probably come in a Midnight Purple Edition.

B/c better things can be done with the removal of a few cars.

Like what? The only thing extra cars do for the game is take up space on the disc. And even with 700+ cars, there's still plenty of space left. The number of cars has NO other impact on the game, except what it is... a large number of cars. What could removing cars possibly do to improve it?
