dear fiona.....

well here i am @ about 30% complete and I find the new cars flying into my garage. I cant sell them fast enuff!
But i am now finding myself in a position where I no longer want to upgrade my cars specs......

It would seem that I even hestate at buying suspension mods let alone turbos. I am finding that racing my cars totally stock, only adjusting that which comes adjustable on the car, is heaps more fun:). Having a stage 3 turbo on a stock 400hp car no longer does it for me at all....

what has happened to me that I dont find it necessary to have 1000hp+ cars?:(

Congratulations, you have acquired what we like to call skill. I don't like adding hp to any of my cars anymore either but i still mess with the suspension and a few drivetrain parts.

I have been like that for ages.
I only mod cars to what i would like them to be like in real-life if i had one.

EXAMPLES:
Nissan Skyline GT-R S-Tune (R32)
- 1200+ km's
- 585hp
- Sports brakes
- New suspension
- New clutch
- Racing Gearbox
- Full LSD Customise
- VCD Controller
- 1/4 Mile: 0:11.7xx
- Top Speed: 328.0 km/h+
- ASM and TCS: 0

Honda Integra Type R '98 Spec
- 1900+ km's
- 311hp
- Sports brakes
- Sports muffler (sounds absolutely awesome. Best sounding car in GT3 at high revs (over 7000rpm))
- Suspension, clutch, flywheel, race gearbox etc
- 1/4 Mile: 0:12.9xx ???
- Top Speed: 288.0 km/h+
- ASM and TCS: 0

RUF CTR2
- 950+ km's
- 707hp
- 1/4 Mile: 0:10.1xx
- Top Speed: 380.0 km/h+
- ASM and TCS: 0
Can't remember the rest of the mods

Yes, young padawan, but you have only begin your journey to understand the force...err...the skills. Keep your mind focused, and don't fall to the dark side.

Yes...Another one concedes to the point of the game. You'll enjoy it so much more, winning by a bare minimum, with a base car. Then in 5 months, you'll come back and think to yourself, I actually had to use that car when this car would have worked...

Skills.

Congrats!

AO

i was starting to think like that around mid-july.
then i went on vacation for a full week without playing any ps2.
when i got back, i was back on the overkill bandwagon.
oh well.

Yeah, I guess you could say I have fallen to the dark side. Yes lots of my good race cars are 1000+ HP. Heck, half of the cars I've never tried and none of them are tuned. I only ever race with like 10 cars, GT-one race car, R390 LM race car, F094/S, good stuff. Oh yeah, I AM YOUR FATHER. JOIN ME AND WE CAN RULE THE GALAXY!

The dark side boys must dislike Non tuned races then. They'll have done their port polish, only to find that you can't unpolish them. Isn't GT3 realistic? :)
