300 to spend on GPU.

As the title says i've been given a 300.00 allowance by my fiance for a new graphics card to replace my 660ti that just kicked the bucket. Is the 760 much of an upgrade? Or should i throw in a few extra bucks and get a 770? Also i wanna stay with Nvidia but if there is an AMD out there thats worth it let me know.

The upgrade from your 660Ti to the GTX760 is only one tier higher, as is the difference from the 760 to the 770. That said, the 770 kicks the 760's ass, and draws less power. Win, win. Especially if you can score a free game or three.

Edit: Looks like Daylight comes with almost all of the 770s from newegg.

Just picked up a 770 at bestbuy and it came with 3 free games. Went over my allowance, but oh well. Lol

Bestbuy has a nice sale on the 4GB GTX 770 for $5 less than the 2GB model. Not sure if that is what you got, if not, maybe you could upgrade. Or if anyone else is on the fence about a 770, it's a pretty good deal.

Your 660 should still be under warrenty also. Most companies have at least a 3 year warrenty and some have a lifetime warrenty.
Most of them are also based off the seriel number so no need for a receipt.

It's worth a shot. PC hardware manufactures are really good about warrenty. I had a corsair water cooler that busted and they sent me a new cooler and a $430 check to replace my 4gb 670 that it ruined.

Evga accepted my rma request today. Once back im gonna put it on ebay to get back some of the money i spent on the new card. This situation couldn't have worked out better. It gave me an excuse to convince the other half to let me upgrade. Lol.
