3000 web hits

I didn't know where to post this..but I just bought 3000 web hits from traffic flare. Was this a good or bad idea? It was only $10. I need help advertising.

I just started the site a day or three-four ago and I already have more then ten members. You don't need hits, just put links in your sig, or post links at other forums, etc.

I had 35 members in 4 days....its been slow since then

How do you "buy" hits? What are you actually paying for? Are random people receiving money to click on your site? If so, are they actually worth anything as visitors?

You really have to target your marketing and page building towards getting to the top of Google search results for your subject material. And to do that, you need to fully exploit META tags in your pages, as well as submit your site to Google to be ranked, and also to get links to your site put on other sites that are relevant to yours.

But generally speaking, keep at it. My own site has experienced steady year-on-year growth, but it was very slow to begin with.
