The most recent issue of Automobile has a blurb in its front about the record just being set in a Ferrari 550 Maranello - 31h, 59m. I guess it was beaten twice in a narrow span.
Keeping in mind that anything along these lines that's posted is likely several months old, so that people can't be ticketed, fined, or jailed after an article is published. I believe it's to do with the statute of limitations... I don't know the details, but the authorities have a certain window of time with which they can charge you with a crime. The window of time varies with the crime/offense committed, but after the window has run out, I believe you're immune.
