I found a little glitch it seems with this F094/s car I got from a game save somewhere. If you don't Adjust the gears at all and leave them the way they are you can get the car up to 319.9 mph on the Test Course. However if you adjust the auto gear down then car will be slower. The car will max out at 270-280mph. Putting the gear back to 48 doesn't make any difference.
 
Yeah,i seem to notice that also.If the gear ratio is altered,when the car change to the top gear (can't remember if it was 6 or 7) the speed seems to go down and change to the previous gear.The other F1 cars doesn't have that problem,so maybe it was a glitch or something....turbo lag maybe?
 
Raise the final all the way up, then raise the auto all the way up.

Then lower the Final to get the speed you want.
