I'm not sure I've seen Buttkicker listed aa a supported accessory for a PS4 game before. Would it simply have optimized audio for the Buttkicker or have a menu to adjust the effects?

Go with the PC version because you can use a PS4 or Xbox controller

I agree if that's true.
I don't know why that bothers me so much but when I'm navigating UIs on my PC I have to use a mouse.
Perhaps I'm just spoiled and used to how smooth it is vs the clunky knobs on the rim.

The real question is do all the buttons finally work on the Fanatec McLaren rim or the ClubSport F1 rims? Flag LEDs would be nice.

Yes it will pro just has 3 pedals same wheel
