Hello and good evening. I have recently bought my friends brand new ps3 off of him and although I wouldn't say it's faulty, it just isn't running like it's supposed to be. Whenever I play games, it seems to take an extended amount of time to get to the cutscenes, and when it eventually does, the audio either gets sluggish or just cuts out completely.
Another problem I have is when I go to turn off my ps3 in the xmb menu screen via the ps button on the controller. I hit "turn off the system", but whenever I do, it just reboots the system all together and plays that "symphony" intro of the ps3 and starts it up again. Thus me having to get up and turn it off manually by the button.
The ps3 is only 2 months old and it's a 250gb 3rd generation "super slim". It has never been dropped, the system is up to date with the current firmware, and I keep it in a well ventelated area. Any help or tips would be appreciated, cheers.
