How, if at all, has the recent delay of GT4 affected your winter break ?

Breaks from college or high-school are great. Although you might currently have a job and go to school, the total relief from school and substitution with GT4 was going to be a welcome way for most to spend their break, and, play this game how I imagine most true GT fans were planning on playing it - :drool:. I just wanted to see the percentage breakdown of how this delay has changed everyone's break and get some input on how much it's going to suck for it to come out at the beginning of a new semester.

GT4 is coming right in the middle of my winter semester break. I will pass the last exam of this semester at the beginning of february, so i will only have 2 lousy weeks of beating helghasts once again^^

I'm a bit lucky of the delay, so i can't waste all my time with playing GT4, instead i can learn way more fore the semester exams ;)
 
This is an interesting poll... KY and PD are so keen on emphasising 'The Human Element' of GT4... this poll reflects the 'real' human element! :)

Saying that, Xmas break would probably be ruined by all of us playing GT4 and ignoring our friends and family, and I'm also a believer in the theory that the game will be even sweeter after the delays, so I'm not too upset...

Anyway, GT4 will affect my Xmas break one way or another, whether I like it or not!

Surely the delay has affected my College break, I have my break from Dec 10 to Jan 17, and I planned spending the whole month playing day and night, with no worries of school or work, but what can I do now???? my Birthday is December 14, what a great gift from Sony to say, "sorry little guy, but no GT4 for your birthday or Xmas"
 
I only have 1 and 1/2 weeks off from work and its within the last 2 weeks in December, before Xmas. I guess only high school kids and very few college students that aren't taking too many credits/hr are going to get to really enjoy this game...w/ my load of classes at college and work there's no time to play any videogame period. I haven't turned on my playstation since August and I also have a DFP wheel collecting dust... oh well. I really hope next time they wait until they are closer to being done before start selling and advertising the next game!! and before they announce nonsense release dates that they know they just can't meet!!!!!!! I just hope they learned the lesson...







p.s. I have the break regardless, I didn't take days off to play videogame. :)

Ditto. I was planning to spend my christmas holiday with my family in Denmark, not playing games. So even if GT4 would have been released before X-mas in Europe, I wouldn't be playing it, or any other game.
 
Didn't have any plans on playing GT 4 this holiday, cause I'm from Europe. Roll on February!!

A long time ago I took a paid week off work for the original release date in January 2004. I have been pushing that same week for almost a year now. Still havent used it.
My boss has asked me all year "I thought you were going to take a week off"?
The good news about that is now I have way over 3 weeks of paid vacation days saved up.

Three weeks could be devoted to GT 4 and the occasional meal. Man, some people have all the luck.
 
It didn't affect my break at all.

I usually don't schedule my life around video games. Especially ones that weren't due to come out in over a month.

I'll probably still be playing GTA: San Andreas by the time GT4 comes out.
 
How about an option for:

"You never really expected GT4 to be out anytime soon did you?!?!"
 
Ummmmm at last count I have just over 21 weeks vacation owing to me (I've worked at the same firm for 23 years) which I am being urged to clear, so when it comes out I will kill a few weeks with GT4 all by myself as my kids will be at school and my wife at work 👍 👍 👍 :)
