Just under 2 years ago GTP passed the 3 million posts mark. Today we're up to 3,997,363, so I reckon at some point in the next 48 hours we'll be passed 4 million, based on no research whatsoever. Keep an eye out people, and get your Print Screen button ready!
 
The 4 millionth post will be: How do I tune gear ratios?

Just kidding...although it's probably too late for a contest.

I'm pretty sure it will be another "I'm 12 years old and know more about love than anyone here" post that will help lead the way to the next million posts.

Based on my observation and calculation, the 4 millionth will happen within the next 8-9 minutes ;) 👍

even faster if more of us are trying to hit it :p

then refreshed the screen and saw: 4,000,012

Well before that, I saw 3,999,98x but after I refreshed it I saw 4,000,002 :ouch:

I screamed like a little girl! :lol:

Just 24 hours later and we have another 8,250 posts - or 1 post every 10.5 seconds averaged over the day.

We also have 582 more threads and 373 new members in those 24 hours!

Looking forward to everything slowing down again when GT5 is a little less new.

Well not really because once they have progressed through the game, there must be some problems/questions that they might want to ask/share with... So naah, we're actually looking for more post! :lol:

At the end of the 3 million posts thread someone said ''What will come first, GT5 or 4 million posts''
It was a pretty close race.
 
I remember that big count down / prediction for the 3 million post mark, was pretty fun :lol:
 
Yep, over 10,000 posts since the 4 million post mark already... and I wager that it might have been nearer 12,000 if we were approving every pointless new thread or post that reads something like "hi can sum1 tell me wich car is better then all the others thx lol" posts too!
