4 months of GT5 and I just found out..

..that you can park your car on the hand-brake/emergency brake.

Stop on a hill and whilst holding the brakes, tap the hand-brake for about a second - after which you can let go of everything and the car will sit there perfectly safe đź’ˇ

Any other little things people have noticed?? :O
 
Unless someone hits you. Then the brake is off.
 
It's because the handbrake gets stuck there at a standstill, so there's no need to hold the handbrake all by your self. Saw the handbrake sign light up while doing nothing?

I know what it is -_- it's just you couldn't leave it on like this on other GT games :sly:
 
I think it was added in a patch, it's a good thing :)
 
Hand brake has worked like this since GT PSP (yes it was like this in GT5 version 1.00).
 
I do this all the time when I need to type online...haha
 
Also, hitting pause while holding the hand brake online will turn you into a ghost, for those who didn't already know.

I certainly wish more did.
 
I just found when your looking thru manufacturers or tracks when a host votes, you can tap right or left to scroll thru faster!!
 
I knew this, I always use it online so my car doesn't roll away on me ;)

It's been there the whole time lol.

I use it all the time.
 
I noticed the Ferrari 458 steering wheel is missing its rev indicator led lights.
 
Yeah, that was pointed out in the very next post lol

You can use it for launch control, just have you foot on the brake rev to 3000rpm (with the hand brake on) drop the brake hit the throttle and the car shoots away.

It was like that in GTPSP also. Makes parking for a photo-shoot much easier.
 
I did this during the 9 hours of Tsukuba in a reasonably fast car.
After about 7 hours I parked my car before the finish line (near the pit wall), to cross it 2 hours later...
 
Useless feature, though very nice little detail... Now I can go grab a cold coke without pausing the game... On time trail, that is...

Anyways, I don´t really care anymore... My PS3 got it a few days ago... yes... that...

That if you hover your little curser over the members of an online lobby a clear panel appears with lots of useful info about tires and driving aids. XD
Also that quite a few of the premium cars have a light turn on when you use the handbrake like irl.
Also, the DB9 has had its INDICATORS MODELLED!!! Watch the top gear challenge video thing again. (Small, flashing orange lights on both sides so you americans know) and i went to a guy whos got the same model irl and they even flash at the right speed!!!! Just wow
 
Did you know your car has strobe lights too? Map your buttons to include flashing. There is one that say toggle and flashing but it doesn't toggle the high beams.
 
You can kill the engine if you have a wheel with a clutch. Let out on the clutch, with it in gear, without giving it gas, and it will die. Push in the clutch and tap the gas and it will start back up.

You can do that without a clutch just give it gas and don't change gear.
