In case you don't get the title read this.
So lets review:
When I joined I drove this:
A 1993 Full-Size Chevy 1500 Silverado.
A little history:
In March of 2002, I stop driving this truck as a primary vechile. In 2003 the transmission blew (It had 215,000 miles on it), and it sat dead for a few months. My dad then trading in his full size truck to by my mom a new SUV. He then struck a deal with me and allowing him to buy the truck for 4,000 dollars. He then got it fixed and drove it till a couple days ago. My brother-in-law is now the proud owner, and it currently has 263,000 miles on it.
In 2002 I bought this:
A 2002 Chevy S-10 Xtreme
A little history:
In March of 2002 I bought my first new toy. I drove this truck for about 2 years. I put a little over 76,000 miles on it. I often took it out racing either on the drag strip, or the autocross circuit. It ran low 16's in the quater, and won me three autocross trophey's in the sport truck class. I really enjoyed and miss this truck to this day.
The best thing is when in 2003 I bought this:
A 2001 Yamaha R6
A little history:
As any of the older members will tell, I wanted this exact year and model back in 2001 when I joined GTP. There was a time where I got real close to getting one, but the fiancing fell threw, and I didn't get it. I still have it, and I love it more and more each time I ride. There is thought of getting a brand new R1, but those are in the distant future.
Then in 2004 I bought this:
A 2004 Mazda 6 Sport Sedan
A little history:
This car was bought based on advice my dad was giving. It was of his opinio that I needed a car before I went to college. He had me convinced that it was not smart to keep the xtreme do to wear and tear, and that I should look into something new, and with room so I wouldn't have to worry about maintance costs. Although I enjoyed the car, it wasn't me. I only had this car a year. I put 16,000 miles on it. I raced it in once autocross (first week I owned it) and placed 3rd in the stock class.
Now, the unvaling of Magic's latest, early this month I bought this:
A 2005 Chevy Colorado Z71
Not much history:
This is an atempt to fix a mistake I made last year. This is also to provide without a doubt that there would be no more mistakes thought of in the next year. It is a 4 door, which allows room, but it has a bed which allows for my bike to come with me such as to Georgia to go riding with a friend of mine who is living there now. (See pic below) I think this truck represents who I am, and who I have become in the last 4 years. It isn't exactly the fastest thing, but it has a playful stanse. The z71 package allows me to still express I am young, but the 4 door comfort and roominess says I have matured. I think it is the perfect balance of needs and wants. Hopefully I will have this truck for awhile.
So thats my automobile history while being a member here at GTP. Just thought I would share.
