I admit, i'm a 1/4 Mile-aholic.

I spent most of yesterday just trying to improve my 1/4 mile times. No joke.
I'll list the top six and (if i can remember) what time they had before yesterday.

ALL MY TIMES ARE DONE WITH ROAD CARS AND TCS AND ASM TURNED OFF.

Current time in blue | Previous time in red.
1. <RR> RUF RGT: 0:08.954 | (0:09.122) - 1077hp
2. <MR> Pagani Zonda C12S: 0:08.990 - 1128hp
3. <4WD> RUF CTR2: 0:09.042 | (0:09.178?) - 863hp
4. <MR> Lotus Esprit V8 SE: 0:09.058 | (0:09.091) - 1089hp
5. <4WD> Tommy Kaira ZZII: 0:09.087 | (0:09.213?) - 956hp
6. <4WD> Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II (R34): 0:09.240 | (0:09.378?) - 1064hp

I haven't tried the Zonda again because i don't think it can get much faster. (although, thats what i thought about the RGT too...)

I also have another record which i have not seen beaten by anyone yet.
8. <4WD> Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II (R32): 0:09.635 - 876hp.

Has anyone else got close to, or better than the above time without using TCS? (i have replays of the R32 GT-R, Zonda, RGT, CTR2, ZZII, V8 SE, R34 GT-R V-Spec II and R34 GT-R V-Spec (0:09.356?) in case you need proof.

Wow, those are some nice times Mustang Man, i don't like running the 1/4 mile and tuning, because then i'll have to re-tune the cars to race.

The Zonda can get into the 8.2's/8.3's and in the 15's in the 1000M. Easily the best car I've found so far for acceleration.

Tinker with the ASC and TCM.

And that's just the first 60ft.

Thanks but i am completely against TCS and ASM. I really wish they wern't in Gran Turismo. :/

EDIT: Maybe i should learn how to spell...

I am only usually thankful for TCS on cars with 900+ bhp.

Bah, that takes the fun out of it. I love my 1000hp+ Speed 12 with it's constant wheelspinning antics. :)

I think 2 on TCS is good for above 900 bhp, because i like to accelerate hard out of corners.

Cool times, those cars are all 10-second cars.

I ALWAYS turn off TCS and ASM, because it takes all the fun out of the Side Slyde :D. Even though the Viper has 1200 HP, I simply never let the geers drop below 2, since there is so much low down torque it doesn't matter if I smash the gas in 3rd anyways.

Maybe I ought to try some 400m runs...

Oh, and AWD is what I use over 900 HP instead of TCS, it is better when blasting off cause you got twice the grip...

does anyone have some gereral 400m set up tips?

Like, gearbox and areo I'm fine but Suspension I have no clue weather to make it more stiff, or soft....

I also cant figure out any good drag differential numbers.

Thanks for your help.

Lowest downforce. Somewhat-stiff front suspension. Somewhat-soft rear suspension. Zero camber and toe. Ride height 1-2mm higher than the lowest setting.

Gearing varries front car to car. Try to short-shift the first gear or two so you get into 3rd or 4th quickly, and let the tourque take over.

That's as general as i can get.

It would be good if you people could send me your (non TCS) 1/4 mile times for my website too...

I have 8,960sec with nissan skyline R-34, and 9,056sec with lotus esprit v8 se and pagani zonda 8,890sec.

Can anyone make Toyota supra go faster then 10,600sec that´s what i have.

Option 2...change your location...it stuffs up the page alignment.

I think i got a high 8 with my F1. :)
