Me and a couple of friends will be racing in a 42 lap race on Nurburgring GP/F tonight. Qualification starts at 8pm GMT. Race will start at 9pm GMT.

We have 6 participants at this moment but we´d like to have some more racing with us. We did it once before last week, it was great fun but a little to few racing. So that´s why I thought maybe some guys from the gtplanet community are interested in this.

No tuning parts allowed.
Tires: No restrictions
Driving Line: Off
Traction Control: Off
Skid Recovery Force: Off
Active Steering: Off
Active Stability Management (ASM): Off
Grip Reduction on Wet Track/Track Edge: Real
Mechanical Damage: Heavy

You can use any gt500 premium, stock with racing softs.

You are now host btw, is that ok with you? Otherwise you got to rejoin.

Great race guys.

Qualifier didn´t work as expected. I thought we could switch to tire wear after the qualifier but everybody got booted to the lobby.

We started 15 minutes earlier than stated in this post but next time half an hour qualifier is more than enough.

I will put up a report of the race tomorrow.

Enjoyed racing with you yesterday. Some thoughts.

I think the car I used, Nismo Xanaivi Z using the power limter to get it down to 522hp, was the superior car. So I had some (unfair) advantage.

Having said that, race pace was not so different between me and Glutinous. The main difference was tire wear. Glutinous tires only seemed to last for 10-12 laps where mine lasted for 14-16 laps. So Glutinous had to do one more scheduled pit stop than me which made a hugh difference.

The whole tire model seems to have changed with the update. Tires heat up quicker (for sure) but also wear quicker (maybe). Glutinous said he lost his front tires where mine wore pretty even, a little faster on the rear. So if tires wear quicker, tuning and adopting driving style for tires wear might be very important. It made the difference in this race, more by luck than skill.

First lap was also a bit messy at the first start and the restart. Got hit from behind in the first corner both times. Got a bit frustrated and then I started to drive too agressive so I wouldn't blame anyone because it could clearly backfire. Had to do an unscheduled pitstop on lap 4. After then everything cooled down and I could start driving as I should when damage set to strong.

Fun race with a great bunch of drivers.

Congrats on the win john, you sure are fast. I´ve put up a report of the race on this site http://supergt1.web-log.nl/blog/ with pics and some videos. The one where senna2002 is out of fuel in lap 41 is hilarious imo. He battled for 3rd almost the full 42 laps with The_Black_Stick to lose it all due to fuel depletion LOL.

Was great fun, hope to do this again some time soon.
