You could use the '83 Nissan 240RS(S110) at 435pp: 237 hp and 970kg weight. It's fast and great pleasure at cornering.

Off the top of my head...

Couple of Silvia S13s are '88
Isuzu Piazza (prob need turbo to get to 450 pp?)
MR2 g-limited supercharger. (one of my fave cars in gt4, very competitive then, unsure about gt6)

Nissan Fairlady Z S30 / Datsun 240Z from '71, Fairlady Z 280Z (S130) from '78
The Dome Zero is very fast
Any of the 2 Skylines R30 from the early '80s, or the Skyline 2000 GT-R (KPGC110) from '73
There are 2 Mazda FCs that were made in '85
above all the 2 toyota MR2 1600 from '86 are great cars that require a bit of training but are very rewarding. And the non-supercharged version is actually faster for most of the PP range.
I almost forgot about the Lancer of '74 but I do use it a lot.
Other than that Honda has great FWD cars like the 3-door Civic 25i of '83 or the ballade sports CR-X version of the same year, the '88 Accord is quite competitive in its class, the City is surprising.
