i decided to make the endurance race, the 4 h Nürburgring Nordschleife.
I don't want to come in box every single lap, changin my tyres, because they were down.
So, Any tipps on cars, tunes and tyres?

I used a stock bmw mclaren F1 gtr race car '97 on racing hard tires and driving smoothly i pitted every 2 laps and won by 3 laps.

I used a stock bmw mclaren gtr '99 ( i think) on racing hard tires and driving smoothly i pitted every 2 laps and won by 3 laps.

Dammit, don't have that car.
Any other car?

Sorry i meant the mclaren f1 gtr race car '97, do you have that?

Sometimes, the problem can be fixed by changing your driving style so that you preserve the tyres better. If that doesn't help, then try raising the car height a little bit and softening the suspension a little; it slightly helps with tyre wear issues.

Its all about driving style... I'm doing the le Mans 24 atm with the Bentley and I really had to change the way I drive.

Even with a fair whack of tcs and abs, I had to learn to break a lot earlier and with maybe 75% sensitivity. Same for driving out the corner, feather the throttle when accelerating, don't just mash the pedal.

On a ds3, this takes practice and can be harder for those with less sensitive digits. Also, rain helps. Ai is much slower so you can drive with more care.

Prior to practice, I was wearing out rh tyres in 15 minutes. After practice, I get about 32 minutes on them.

Use medium/hard tires and the BANDAI DIREZZA Lexus, this car has a slow tyre degradation and it's fast enought to crush the opponents. I can do 3 laps on racing medium on the 24h layout with this car, so I think you can easily manage 3 laps on the V-type.

The McLaren F1 GTR is unnecessary for this race, I can win it using the Schulze Motorsport GT-R.

Thank you guys!!!

I used this too and won easily. If you want a slightly easier race use it with the medium turbo otherwise stock is good :)

Is your BANDAI DIREZZA Lexus tuned or is it stock?

I did it just recently with a Nismo GT-R R-Tune tuned just under the R8 LMS' performance and still won by nearly two laps even against said Audi.

Stock, anyway I won this race in a Race Modified Lotus Elise '98 with only 168 hp and the best opponent was an Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo, this was before the new tyre model came out anyway, don't know if the Lotus Elise can win this race anymore With the new tyre model :)

I just won this using the Weds sports Lexus IS350... won by more than 2 min in the end. oil change, and tune found here on gtplanet. sports soft all the way. I did 4 laps stints and could probably have done 5 easily on those tires. I did select a grid without the r8 lms or the turbo though..

there is also the arta garaya and the subaru cusco dunlop.. and one by RE I think.. GT300 cars suits this race :)

I did it with the N24 Schulze MotorSports, stock with RKM's tune and won easily. I was going about 4 laps before requiring new (race hard) tires but i'm sure you can run 5 laps if you drove more conservatively.

Ok guys, i did the race 2 times, one time with the BANDAI DIREZZA Lexus and one time with a Chevrolet Corvette Z06 RM, Downgraded to 500 hp.

So, my last question: When do you pit?

So, my last question: When do you pit?

If you are using my strategy, that is a Stock Bandai Direzza Lexus on racing medium tyres, I suggest you to pit every 3 laps because going for a fourth is a big risk and the time you will lose through the last lap is too big to justify a longer stint. I can't say nothing on the Corvette anyway, never tested it on the ring. Good luck with your race :)

If you're looking just to complete the race, use the X1.

If you're actually looking to RACE, then try any of the Nissan GT-R, Honda NSX, or Toyota Supra Racing cars. My (aside from race tuned) stock Corvette C6 RM was fun. Theres PLENTY of decent cars to try, though I don't drive on the Nordschleife often, and can't give you a specific answer.

Yes, driving style will help conserve tires. More cautious braking and steering, gentle throttle upon exit of a corner are good ways to start. You'll save you're tires a bit more by not going 100%. Thats the point of endurance racing; seeing how well you and the car can hold up over a long period of time, and making the most efficient laps as possible.
