Hi,

I have been doing the 4hr race for a couple of days now. I have suspended it and restarted with no problems, however I am trying to load it now and it starts the car is entering pit lane too fast and overshoots, the re-fuel option and tyre choice screen flicks up very briefly then the computer is controlling the car and just drives straight in to the pit wall. Absolutely pathetic this game is.

Anything I can do?

Cheers

It's been covered many times over, I guess you are doing the Tsukuba 4 hours (Miata race). I don't think there's a solution, you'll have to start over. BUT ...

... before you do, try to understand what made this happen. Probably you entered too hot into the pit lane. You can't do that, you must enter the narrow strip of tarmac BEFORE the last corner, at a speed that will allow the car to remain ON it while cornering.

I suggest you the same I did myself. Test entering in different ways and saving many times, see what works and what wrecks the game (save). I did this race twice already and all saves worked perfectly when I resumed.

I was aware of exiting too fast as it happened to me when I went in for a tyre change in normal racing. But whatever the reason it is still absolutely shocking that there is such a glitch. The whole suspend thing is totally ****e. Sort it out they should. It's like they have no common sense and make things difficult on purpose. For example, menu navigation... I just won't play the game now, absolute garbage.

I'm sure there will be a patch. I don't know why that just made me laugh out loud.

The Mazda endurance is so boring. I could not even do more than 2 laps.

Exactly why I am so pissed off. The worst race in the World and it had happened to me!!!

Can only get any enjoyment from it by trying to drift round the track instead of racing properly or ramming the AI. It's a horrible race!

in a thread they said its because of speeding into the pit lane, when Ai controlls the car and lose it you got that glitch, but they also report its still happening WITH slow pitlane drive in

so we have to wait for another bug fix:dunce:

try to block them at the pitlane entrance or exit they will set back and bump again in you, if your car is in a good position you only have to hold break and sometimes drive some meters back

Worst race ever! At one point i pulled over, let the race continue and made a slice of toast! needless to say i still won

I almost lost 2 hours after the glitch struck on the 9 hour race for me. Bearing in mind that I consistently saved when the car was cruising down pit lane on the front straight, which worked fine the first times I resumed, on my last attempt my car violently steered across the patch of grass separating pit lane and the track on the last turn.

Make the most out of those precious few seconds before the game flashes START on the screen, up until then you have control of the car. Even before the screen loads up, pump the brakes and steer to the right hard, with some luck you'll send the right front of the car into the wall next to pit lane and that'll slow it down enough, then when the AI takes the wheel it'll "latch on" to the proper line down pit lane.

i didnt like the MX-5... sorry "Miata" enduro race in GT4, but at least it was on a semi decent track Apricot Hill (what happened to this track... and Midfield for that matter)... but i really dont like Tsukuba one bit... its too short and not challenging enough for my liking... i was planning on using the suspend option to the max for this race... will follow the above advice, and hopefully avoid the glitch

I found that maybe turning your wheel (or controller stick) to the right just after you hit "Start" might help, but not sure about it.

Also, when it happens, try to just quit the game and load the save again. It happens randomly, so maybe at least next time AI won't gain control of the car, but you'll be in it.
