Didn`t you start your reply with 'Derp.'? That`s why i replied 'how you like them apples', it means 'so there' (to call attention to a small personal triumph).

I started the 4 hour ring enduro about 20 times to test my cars, i like the long version of the ring. So i`m sure i saw it, at least 2 times actually. It was also reported in this thread (the same enduro):

That's great! I started the 4 hour roadster challenge 10 times to test my car and I'm sure I saw a 599 a couple of times!

Scanned through the page of the first link and this is the only thing written about the XJR-9:
When doing the Dream car Nürb race, against super GT's and that pesky XJR-9

Notice he/she said Dream car Nurb race? The level 24 championship? Well that's the only dream car championship there is in the game (other than its B-spec counterpart)!

I never expected a Group C car controlled by the A.I would be in the same race as tuned street cars also controlled by the A.I!

I suppose it all comes down to how you want to win the race.

Do you want to win it by a tiny margin, or do you want to destroy the opposition

I've done the race with the 787B. Yea, it's overpowerded, but 787B + Ring = :D

If you want a challenge, pick a street car (f.e. HPA FT565, one of the Lambo's, one of the Ferrari's, SLS, R8 5.2, GT-R '09, ...).

If you only want the pot, fast & easy, here you go: :sly:

OK, i`m wrong about the link.

See, there you go :dopey:

I got passed by the Jag on the long straight in the long version of the ring. I am only at level 38 so it was not the 24 hours. But i will try it again soon and when it comes up again i will take a picture. But until i proved it i`m wrong.

FOr this race i used the speed 8 and never did more than 4 laps on tires because on the fourth lap i couldnt drive straight lost five minutes to the leaders so after that i switched every two laps so that kept me occupied for a while.

I did it in the Speed 8 as well, I was so rough on the tyres it was a case of out lap, flying lap, in lap, that was it. 3 laps per set of tyres

me it was out lap in lap. The fourth lap was horrible, had to pause and take a deep breath. still won by two laps

Well, it kind of makes sense since there is a GT3 car there with them already. Maybe if you run it enough times an FGT and a C5R will show up, for multi-class racing and all that. :)

...

I think I was getting 5 laps per tire set on my medium-tuned 2010 Camaro when I did this. The Group Cs/LMPs seem to all burn tires pretty quick, too much power probably, especially w/o TC, not to mention g-loading. I think real-world - with cars roughly GT3 and slower - it's 7-9 laps, on the full course, and stops are mostly dictated by fuel(but I'm not saying tires aren't QUITE worn by then). Of course real-world fuel tanks probably aren't all 100 liters, either. And real-world softer tires wear quicker. Silly real-world.

It's not in that race. I have data for a couple of hundred different line-ups and they're all comprised of the cars listed in the first post (with pictures!) of the Companion. No Jaguar XJR-9, which would be colossal overkill.

For a quick guideline, you can win the race on 450PP with racing tyres, 500PP with sports tyres and 550PP with comfort tyres (if you're a lunatic). You need a 9'12 average lap for an ordinary field fo AI. If the Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo '04 (the ordinary Amuse S2000 GT1 '04 is fine) or Audi R8 LMS '09 turn up, you will need to go a good deal faster.

This thread has helped me out insanely! I never expected it to go more than one page. But 3? All i can say is thank you and the 4hrs of nurb seems like it should be fun. Thank you all:dopey:

OK, good to know that the Jag didn`t show up in a couple of hundred different line-ups. I know it`s so much out of place in that race but it still feels i saw it. But given the reactions of my fellow members i have to let common sense overrule this feeling. I actually started the race today almost 10 times (i was testing cars again). And i was planning to try it 15 times more but now i will stop it. Shame, because i would have loved to prove it.

So PS3`s memory is not sufficient for this game and my memory is corrupted, whats worse :nervous:

i did this in the premium castrol tom's supra. PERFECT car, man that was a fun race

with racing hard tires, i believe i pit in every 4 laps.

PP was around the same as 2nd place racer, and i still finished 5+ mins ahead of him

although i gotta be honest after awhile i started watching tv and halfassing the race. 4 hours is brutal, and nurburgring is a high speed track, pretty forgiving

I never expected this page to get so popular !

I'm planning on doing that race this weekend with my

Nissan XANAVI NISMO Z (SUPER GT) '06 Fully tuned, Racing Med.

Should be fun I just finished putting some final tunes, just need to touch the gears a bit and them I'm off to racing. I've been reading about this race and some people mention getting a really fast car and pretty much park it after a few lead laps.

Is there any weather change? it would be cool it that was the case. I haven't gotten many chances to race in the rain, how has it been for you folks?
