I’m looking at upgrading my current 11 year old 32” Samsung 1080p to a new 4k.

This tv would be used solely for simracing on a rig, so it will be positioned as close to me as possible. I don’t plan on playing other games on it.

I’m considering 55” or thereabouts, so what are some good options or what do you use? Is 55” too large?

I fould a 55” TCL P Series for under $400 which has good reviews. Good for simracing? Some specs are below.

Curious what other have/think.

You didn't say if you were using a console or a PC?
Important because if PC you can output native 4k so do NOT need good upscaling.
Console you MUST have good upscaling so higher end TV required.

I think the clue was in the title
PS4 4K Tv for Racing Rig

I went for a 65" Hi Sense and am well chuffed! I was worried that the picture quality would be questionable but it is crystal clear, sharp and only has a little bleed around the edges. Granted it's not touching an LG OLED (I have one in the lounge but would be beaten by the missus if I used it for racing!) but for the price I don't think you'd find a better TV that size (under £600). Most of the big name brands at that price point are hit and miss imo

Stock PS4 doesn't do native 4K, right? And upscaling introduces lag, right?

I'm not sure I'd worry too much about quality. My 55" Hisense is fine, but the main thing is I have a Pro, so I get to leverage that 4K without lag.
