You have 50'000 cr to spend on a car and tuneups.. I have tested a few cars and have lap times and info..I will post that when I get home...ETA 30 min You will be tested in 5 areas

Have your car and HP stated before turning in time. After times are turned in by Sunday At 12:00 PM you may list parts and settings. The 1st track we'll try is Grand Valley. You may only have one car! Get your times in.

As you may notice all the points for a winner is 50. We are only racing at one track a week. Also....oh nevermind:lol: This competition I hope will last longer then my first one. I've noticed how people don't like test course all that much. Thats why the track is worth more. C ya

My fast one at the mo' is the Z-28. I'm running right at 1'50 at Cote.

Ive run the real cheepies. (Miata and Integra)

I may have to dust off an EVO 7 to sew this thing up.

The key to this is putting in the right tranny.

ah yes but Tranny's are expensive and they hurt top speed. I didn't buy a tranny for my Mustang or Z28 and got 195+ mph out of em.The Z28 was in 5th gear though so it wasnt't good with an automatic. I'll post times here in just a min.

But with the tranny, you can get every erg of power out of the motor.
Imagine how QUICK those cars would be with the tranny properly adjusted.

Which Tranny did you buy? The tranny helps in acceleration and track but top speed will be terrible. and the Full racing is not worth it. 16000! Now the Camaro is 22000. So 22,000+16000=38000!! That leaves 12000 to tune up. Now you could buy a few HP things. Well..thats why this competition is so great...Choices. Find one car to fit all racing conditions. Also just for your info Oil changes ARE NOT FREE.:D :D :D :D

I have no idea where you're getting your money figures from:
MY 50g's netted:
Camaro Z-28 22,830
Semi-race suspension 7,200
Sport tires 5,500
Full race trans 10,200
Chip 1,250
Semi-Race intake/Exhaust 2,850
For a total outlay of 49,830
I tested it at Cote D'Azur. It was the most capable of the cars I've done prliminary testing on so far.
And for your information, I have always counted my oil changes, UNLESS it was expressly stated that it was Gratis.:D

Now I could have gone with the Sport Suspension and done the Stage 1 tune with the Sport intake. I may actually get to that on Thursday or Friday if my life permits...

Now I can see being more thrifty with the 'Stang. But it costs 11G's more than the Z28. That would preclude quite a bit of parts spending.
The only other cars that are in the running would be the two cheaper Lancers, the S14 and S15 Silvia, and the MR-2 Turbo.

For the next one of these you do...
Make things interesting and limit the cars to 2.0liters of displacement.

People need to sign up. Spread the word of this championship please.
