he route is now set for 2007 - London to Istanbul

Here is a heads up of the new route and a chance to enter before we publish the 2007 rally on our website in 1 week time.

We will be leaving roaring crowds of London on Sunday the 28th of April, driving for 6 days through Europe, discovering in the distinctive Gumball style, everything from it’s Castles and Islands, to People and Cultures. Finishing on Saturday 5th of May, in Istanbul, with a well deserved glass of Champagne!

The cost is £24k for two people so that’s £12k each. You get a 7 day, 3,000 mile rally, 120 cars ranging from a Ford Capri to the new Bugatti Veyrons ( we have 6 Veyrons signed up for ‘07).

As you have taken part in the coolest rally on earth before, you know excitement of driving through majestic landscapes in a convoy of magnificent cars. The stories shared at the end of everyday, with all of the weird and wonderful people that have joined you, on one of the best adventures of your life!

The 5 Star hotels at every stop and the most outrageous parties, concerts and racetracks en route with some of the worlds biggest music artists being booked as we speak.

You know you will also expect some insane receptions en route with fans cheering you on from every bridge and street corner.

Places are extremely limited this year for experienced Gumballers, half the spaces have already being taken and I anticipate the grid being full very soon. Let me know if you are up for it and what car you are thinking of entering,

Looking forward to hearing from you Regards,

Kimberly Brown
Rally Manager

Cant wait to see some footage

i don't really believe that. every year some extraordinary cars or stars are supposed to be there that then never show up...

and why do they never stop in my hometown frankfurt, which was near the route of almost every gumball in europe?! :(

I would never enter a Veyron into a Gumball. I will never own a Veyron, so I suppose this post is pointless when saying what I would and/or wouldn't do if I had one.

the point is, that these guys who are going to drive their Veyrons in Gumball, have afford to buy couple more if these break up or crash during the race.

the gumball is no race, you're not forced to go faster than you usally do. so i#d say the risk of an accident isn't much higher than it is usally.
people who speed excessively during gumball probably do that at other times as well and in the end, supercars are meant to be driven hard. i much rather see a veyron crash during the gumball instead of seeing it locked up in a garage and only taken out for a sunday cruise.

If all six Veyrons turn up i bet at least three of them will have some sort of crash (major or minor).

I don't understand why you would take a car like that on any trip. Besdides the cost, you can hardly pull into the hotel parking lot!

this years was 40k the last few ones before that were around 30k iirc, got an entry forum around somewhere ill need to dig it out to see

And does the entry cover insurance for your car, and the shipping (flying) costs that are involved, or you gotta stump up those yourself too?

I suppose insurance for this sort of thing is probably out of the question anyway?

insurence and fuel is up to yourself, the entry fee includes the partys, accomidation(sp) and flights/ferrys

Ahhh, well that (the shipping etc.) goes part way to explaining the costs. In other events where they airfreighted the cars I can see why it was so expensive.

Thanks. 👍
