This is what I have been trying to do:

650PP GVS race using:
600PP (with max 5% power limit)
Race Hard Tires
No SRF
Zonda or F1 must be in the race.

So far I can't do it.

I have tried the NSX Stealth and the RX-7 TC. In the RX-7 I got within 10 seconds of the Zonda but that was it. I'm 2 seconds a lap too slow and I don't know if I can do it, but I can see where there is 2 seconds left in the car.

For a test I switched to Race Mediums and beat the Zonda by 5 seconds. So a 3 second per lap difference.

edit

I changed to the Mobil 1 NSX and got my laps under 1:48 but I'm still not quick enough. The best I've done in around 10 runs is -3 seconds to the F1. So close, and yet soooooo far...

I think I beat this once using the NSX but I was probably on race softs. It's a great handling car though so I'm thinking it ought to be good for it.

Try either of the Corvette RMs. I regularly use one at 600PP to stonk 650PP Seasonals. I believe the build I use on my car is the Madd Fin one, you can find them in the Tuning Forum...

You do this with Race Hard tires?

I tried the Z06 RM and was almost a second slower than the NSX.

I have found it easy to do with Race Medium but the hard tires just don't have the grip.

Try this build. I used a different one, but I can't find a link to it right now. Resist the urge to install all power modifications. Use the power limiter to keep it at the PP you desire.

I don't use other people's tunes. Not that I claim to be a great tuner. But tuning is part of the game, same as driving. I don't have others driving for me, and I don't have others tuning for me.

If I can't beat it with my own driving and my own tuning then I don't deserve to beat it.

I wanted to make this a real challenge. Something that was possible but most people couldn't do it.

I know I can use softer tires to beat it. I know I can use SRF (NEVER!) to beat it. I know I can use more PP to beat it. I know I could use the 2J to beat it. But that's the rules I set and if I can't do it, so be it.

I'll see if I can find a car that can do it. Going to be difficult for me to drop my beloved RS tires, but I'll see what I can do! 👍

It wasn't the Madd Fin build, it was Avid Racing's:

Whilst it's admirable building your own cars, some of us aren't up to the task. I'm much more comfortable building cars around the 400-500PP, on Comfort Soft or Sport Hard tryes. Race bred monsters are a little bit too much for me, so I'll rely on those more skilled than I to provide race car builds 👍

I spent a few hours in a 600pp room once on GVS 3-5 lap races and the following cars were almost always the fastest, over the entire time and by several different drivers. Granted, everyone was always on RS tires, but I would expect the list wouldn't change too much, if all were on RH.

1. NSX (Loctite and Mobil 1)
2. Ford GT (No Stripe and '06, mainly, but there were a couple LM Spec IIs as well)
3. Several GT-Rs
4. Ferrari 458 Italia
5. au Cerumo Supra and a couple of other GT300/GT500 cars popped in every now and then, like Arta Garaiya '03 or '08, I can't remember exactly, and won an occasional race, too. There was also a racer in an extremely fast and agile Subaru. I can't remember the exact model, but it was a stock looking car.

I would have to say that the NSX and Ford GT dominated the most, when in the race, and driven well. Just some suggestions from what I saw that day. 👍

I didnt know what SRF was, so I googled it and now found out what i've been missing all this time LOL !!! thanks man

I'm joking btw, Even though ive found what would make the game easier, I think I was happier not knowing what it was. I'm going to take up your challenge though!
