600w psu for $48?!?!

So im looking at power supplies at newegg and came across this a 600w psu for 48 bucks! Does anybody else have this psu? I have the 6800 ultra oc and just want that much power to make sure all my components run good. Should I buy it? Thanks

I never heard of this "MGE", I wouldn't buy it. Most PSUs never reach their designated wattage unless specifically guaranteed by the manufacturer.

I would stick to the name brands like Antec, Enermax, and Allied.

I dunno, people on the newegg site gave it really good ratings, but those are easy to fake if you want them to be. I'd say they look like a huge power supply company. They do mostly UPS's (Uninterruptable Power Supplies) for anything from one pc to a massive server. Link for the Company's Website.

yeah im not going to order it afterall. People said that they even used 430w psu to power the 6800 ultra and it worked fine, but im going to go with the ultra x-connect 500w maybe. Thanks guys for the feedback 👍

It would probably work with a good 350 watt.

Nvidia recommends a 450 watt or higher, but I've seen a good 350 watt handle it well too.

That'd be because some 450 watt PSUs suck...you know what.

So, they have to leave a nice little cushon.
