Right off the bat, I know tons of people hate driving this car… Understood, it’s very sloppy. Previously, I really only spent time with it grinding WRC600 Tokyo until it was nerfed.

A couple days ago I mixed it in with a few other cars to test at the “time trial” for Le Manz and it peaked my interest. On this course it feels like trying to tame a drift car. It’s a unique challenge and a nice change to keep things fresh and interesting… albeit a bit ridiculous.

Getting the most out of it will require exponentially more counter steering and on the fly corrections like quick gear changes to either regain traction or quickly tighten in a turn than one would use any usual race.

For those not familiar with it, the DP-100 has a few unique qualities:
  • Max Torque is Dead Flat from 2,000 - 5,250rpm (if limiter isn’t used)
  • Tire Longevity (dependent on driving)
  • Very Low Fuel Consumption
  • 8 Gears (7th & 8th can be used as “overdrive” and are .839 (504kph) & .667 (657kph) respectively
The power band is ideal for “short shifting” and helps maximize fuel efficiency. Its best to shift no later than the moment you see the shift gauge bar fill at all.

I used to use the following shift points, pretty much did the same. Can shift sooner to save more gas. It’s just a ballpark, shift up a little sooner to conserve fuel if needed.
For those only watching tachometer, stay 5,000-7,000rpm. Might be little earlier if adjusting the limiter and/or ECU
  1. ———
  2. 70mph
  3. 101mph
  4. 127mph
  5. 167mph
  6. Will reach ~ 214mph on Le Manz Straights. Can shift to 7th and 8th sooner in FM6 with lower top speed for 5 laps
  7. Overdrive 1 for 6th gear after reaching decent speed
  8. Overdrive 2

Edit: FM1 can absolutely go 3 laps. Pit for tires and fuel. FM6 on laps 4-6 and back to FM1 for 7th and final lap

Strategy:

FM1 for Laps 1 & 2

Pit: Tires & Refuel (Should be .73 lap left, could manage fuel for 3rd lap)

FM6 for Laps 3-7 (Finish around 20 seconds after the 30 min mark, could definitely be faster)

or

FM6 for Laps 3-6

Pit: Tires and maybe splash of fuel (Sometimes forced to change out Wet tires on 7th lap if there was barely any rain)

FM1 for lap 7 (Finish around 30 seconds after 30 min mark, could definitely be faster)

Pics Below: Time Trials & Race on Hard Difficulty
Lap 1 not recorded but faster than 4:00
Lap 2 & 7 were FM1 but ended or started with pit stops
