GARDENA, Calif. (Sept. 2, 2005) Building upon its strong off-road racing heritage, Nissan today announced it will expand into the Pro-2 Division of the Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) series with an all-new Titan full-size race truck. Titan marks Nissans first full-size truck entry into a racing series. It will be campaigned by Team Renezender of American Flyer Racing, Lake Forest, Calif.
The Titan CORR Pro-2 entry features a 715-horsepower, 5.6-liter V8 stock block engine with 510 lb-ft of torque at 6,000 rpm, redlining at 8,200 rpm. Unlike many race engines, the block, cylinder heads, cam covers, water pump, main bearings, rod bearings, and ignition coils are all stock Titan components.
