787 Windscreen Wiper

Im not sure if this has been posted before, I have searched but didnt come up with nothing.

O.K. I was testing the 787B out on test course for its top speed, i reached around 390 kmh when i looked back at the car and saw the the windscreen wiper starts moving around on the screen, left and right motion, it stops as I got around 400 kmh and then started at around 450.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I've seen that happen before, heck i even think i started a thread on it! I thought it was my TV acting up at first. But the front wiper indeed moves at speed.
 
Didnt even know I said it twice.

Ahhh and I thought I had something there, I thought it was actually the game bugging up at first but after slowing down and trying again it did it again.

Its a nice little feature i never noticed anyway!
 
I've spotted that before as well. I think I posted about it somewhere. It's interesting for sure. One of those after thoughts that makes you smile.
 
would be cool to have it "turn on" at lower speeds, like racing the Special Stage 11 wet... think you know what i mean, aight?? :odd: ;)

In addition to the wiper, you'll notice that antennas on the cars move about when at high speeds.

Yeh it would be cool to have them on in wet and maybe rally condition.

Ill have to look out for the antenna thing, They are nice little features that PD put in.
 
Can't wait until you see the Delta's mudflaps then... :D
 
hehe as a matter of fact I read one of your posts a few days ago about that, decided to have a look. I have to say it did make me chuckle.

Wow Iv'e never seen that before, gotta try this out. The only things that I knew that were animated on the cars were the mudflaps on the delta rally car and the antennas. Its things like this that make you relise how special the Gran Turismo games are.

You need to get out more.

I just ran the 787B on the Test Course, and I didn't see the wiper move at all. What do you need to do to see it move? What race works best?
 
Well I put the stage 1 Turbo on it and then ran test course, it does work around 390 kph, its not much its just noticeable.
 
Yes, I've noticed something like this. On Gran Turismo Concept you may notice that both the Chrysler Crossfire and Nissan GT-R Concept have spoilers that are raised/lowered at certain speeds.
 
OK, I just did it, and the trick is to use the turbo upgrade, and watch the car in third person view. You have to press and hold down the the L1 button to see the whiper move slightly from side to side.

Have you seen the drivers head movement during harsh acceleration and braking with the Suzuki GSXR-4?

When I saw that, I was like 'whoa awesomes' todaly. Or something anyway, has anyone noticed if the F1 cars drivers heads do anything simmilar?
 
I don't have GT Concept, but I have noticed all of these things in GT3. They do make the game more interesting and fun. I'm all for realism.

Speaking of realism, I really hope that in GT4 the crowds that stand along the Rally tracks are a little less... 2 dimensional. Does that bother anyone else? Not that I spend much time looking at anything other than the car, but still...

As a matter of fact they will be 3D and I can't recall if they'll move too, like cheering and everything. I've seen a preview video of a rally course and the crowds on the sides will look tons better.
Regarding the windshield wiper thingy, I have noticed that too, not just on the 787B but on other cars as well. I think the Calibra was one too... an Opel nonetheless, I know it's an Opel.
 
Wow, I never noticed that before...but I did notice that the Cadillac Cien's wing pop up in about 2nd gear..:) But that's in GTC.
 
Ive heard alot of things about the spolier changing or different things happening on the car when it reaches higher speeds. Is there any of these things in GT3?

I think that the windscreen wiper thing only happens if the wiper is in the centre of the screen because I have never seen any other car does this that has the wiper in the traditional position.

I would like the crowds to be improved, the crowds in GT3 dont look as well as they could. Id love if there was a bit of noise from the crowds aswell, especially in Tokyo down the straight.
