No...
I like the car alot, so I though that I should learn more about it, so I have a few questions..

1. What's up with the front wheel? Why does it have a disk for a rim? I like the look but does it serve a purpose? Aerodynamics maybe?

2. What's the small light on the roof for? It doesn't seem too bright..

3. What do the numbers to the left of the RPM gauge mean (I guess it's the center console) ? They change from 45.00 to 23.00 and a bunch of other random numbers.

The cover on the front wheels looks like it may be for brake ventilation. If it's built like a centrifugal blower, then the wheel rotation would cause it to 'suck' air through the wheel, and thus over the brake disk.

If the numbers are what I think they are, the Audi R10 has a set of them as well. The Audi R10's wheel has two sets of 5 numbers on either side of the wheel - the right one is your Speed (in km/h, of course) and the left one is your previous lap time.

It sounds like the 787B must have a similar system. Run a lap around any track and compare that "random" number with your previous lap time. It sounds like it'll broadcast your lap time's Seconds and Milliseconds while dropping the Minutes, as that should be fairly consistent on your given track.

I give this car to my B Spec drivers on 24 Hr of Le Mans and all they can do with it is 6th place. I thought this car was faster than that. I had to repeat with a FGT.

I've seen the numbers on the dash you mean. I dunno what they are. I don't think it was lap times. No idea. I assumed the disk on the wheels is an aero thing like on the x2010 wheels.

Google is your friend.

I.. already tried that. I wouldn't be asking the question if those worked trust me. I also used the wiki. But since none of those really helped get a good answer I came here where I know alot of people are into the car.

I've heard that this is the best racing car money can buy. . .Is it true?

It won Le Mans because it was reliable, but in GT5 it's definitely not the quickest thing out there. MINOLTA, Sauber C9, and other Group C's will leave it in the dust.

Yes.

Edit: no, CLK-GTR is best.

Edit: I mean CLK-LM

I doubt that! On stormbringers list the Nissan R89C RC'89 is half a second faster and this is not scientific prove, but rather a guy testing all these cars and for that it's personal preference!

Not speaking of the Stealth 787B

A little off-topic this has gotten, but the 787 is very competitive against other group C cars, And can beat the R8's and Speed 8's easily. I won the 24 hours of Le Mans by 15 laps when I used my stock 787B. as oppose to the mere 2 laps I won by with my stock Audi R10. 👍
