What are you going to do with your time while it's down (6 September 15:00 - 23:00 BST)?

No Online, no Seasonals. Luckily I'm in work for most of it, but if I was not I would be finally looking towards the FGT Championship 👍

Hope the 8 hours will be worth it. 👍

So what about the DC race? That starts in just over an hour!

EDIT: Ah, just got that last post.

There's 8 hours of maintenance again?

Oh, you didn't know? :dopey:

Anywho, I'm doing the Nurb 24 hours so I really couldn't care less at this point. :dopey: Oh, damn! It's on tomorrow :(

Go outside. Watch a movie. Drive your car. Learn some japanese. Take the trash outside. And then there are many censored things to do.

1/3 day without GT5? Come on. Wont be this hard. ;)

I rarely check the news page....

Anyway, will be doing things other than on my arse playing the PS3 so no biggie.

I think I going to do some B-spec races or play some Xbox :)

Feature Updates. :D Just in time for the 1st day of Year 9 :grumpy:

I wonder if there will be a new patch...!
By the way, an 8 hour maintenance period is planned for next week too.

I hope so wasn't supposed to be bug fix then content? So we had 1.11 and 1.12 so conent should be tomorrow.

Pulled from GT for reference.

The online service of Gran Turismo 5 will undergo maintenance during the following hours:

(1)
Start:08/23/2011 10:00 EST
Finish:08/23/2011 16:00 EST

(2)
Start:08/29/2011 22:00 EST
Finish:08/29/2011 23:00 EST

(3)
Start:09/06/2011 10:00 EST
Finish:09/06/2011 18:00 EST

(4)
Start:09/13/2011 10:00 EST
Finish:09/13/2011 18:00 EST

During the maintenance, you will not be able to connect to any of the online services.

*Please note that the exact time of the maintenance may slightly vary.

Maybe the last one is for bug fix after content updtate.

Think it was "features" next. I doubt a new patch would hit this fast after the other though.

it's very obvious that this week and next will be the implementation of content or adjusted content -- without a doubt

i see this week as "part 1" where we can "feel the effects" of the newly released or adjusted content all while next week "part 2" is the consolidation.

in other words, new or greatly adjusted content will come this week -- some of which may seem rather "confusing" only to further make the most of sense come next week

for example, we might see additions, changes and adjustments to CARS this week, while we might see the same level of changes used next week only applied to TRACKS

BUG FIX >>> TWEAK/PREP >>> CARS >>> TRACKS

the four updates (when all complete) probably work best as a system and we will not see the effort of the patches until all four are complete

my guess is we will CERTAINLY see adjustments and major changes to:
car settings, track settings, and event settings???,

i do not believe we will see newly created content instead -- "what they should have done a very long time ago" is finally complete

like the rest of the GTP community i hope PD's effort is more serious than racing suits again

I dunno...go to work, make some money maybe?

Ahh but no sir. Your so called "money" can not be spent to buy a big wing for my virtual Fiat Panda. Not interested.

On a more serious note: does it make a difference if I haven't downloaded v 1.12 by now and v 1.13 goes live (assuming it does)?

When you install patch .13 it will install all updates to that point. Buy a new disc and put it in for the first time and you will update from 1.0 to whatever is current.

I'll probably give my PS3 a nice rest and go play Minecraft or Forza. I can easily spend 8 hours on either of them so yeah.

Well tommorow's Tuesday & it's the first day of school for me  (only about an hour or two though). I haven't even played GT5 for a few days now.

the 8 hours maintenence for Europe isnt until Wednesday night :) I take it US is on Tuesday or something??

As said above though, 8hours downtime this week, and the same again next week ...... I will be very surprised if they launch 2 patches within such short time of 1.11 coming out (I won't class 1.12 as an update, as it wasn't much of one to be honest :) )

I'm going to pick up religion, and pray that they fix whatever they broke with 1.11, cause I can't get a solid connection in online lobbies anymore.
